  1. Can't wait for all those athletes who, in a few years from now, have like a 5th place that makes you think "Wow, must be their best ever result!" only to realize they had a win or podium in some race where half the usual field was absent
  2. That's literally not true in an environment full of athletes who are on the razor thin line between sick and not sick and where distance is definitely not being kept, as we saw in Ruka.
  3. Awesome! The first small step towards becoming an Olympic event, let's see if the start of the World Cup will help make it a bit more competitive in the next few years, even men's NC is competitive compared to the women at the moment, but I have hope Especially considering most women are still teenagers apart from the 10 years older and dominant American.
  4. Luckily for Latvia she has fairly mild symptoms so shouldn't fall back too much before rejoining the World Cup in (probably) Hochfilzen.
  5. First I thought that was a whole living room wall or something and so that thing would have been like half a meter, entirely unrealistic and obviously fake. Then I noticed the scale is a bit different and it's the corner of a wall....making it suddenly both realistic and absolutely horrifying
  6. Wow. There's a lot of names I would not have been too surprised with, but Pietro Fittipaldi was not on that list Last sort of alright thing he did was winning the 2017 World Series, but that already had a very poor field by then...well, he's been their test driver for a while, so I guess he knows the car at least. Still, Pietro Fittipaldi. Alrighty.
  7. Leclerc's reaction says quite a lot as well by the way. You could very much hear in his voice that he was having major Bianchi and Hubert flashbacks.
  8. Of course they don't And no way Grosjean will be penalized for not putting his steering wheel back, a steward who decides that can go and get himself a different job the same day.
  9. I'm curious why the barrier that came after that wasn't just made longer. Of course it's easy to say that now, but why have this diagonal thing there anyway?
  10. Damn One of the first football players I liked, although as a kid that was because for some reason I thought his name was just really cool combined with that historic goal.
  11. I heard Run Boy Run being played in the stadium
  12. And Stroll upside down after his 827th idiotic move of the year. Again Kvyat is the one who hit him, like with Grosjean (and again not his fault).
  13. Did he put his steering wheel back though? If not, penalty incoming
  14. That Haas just straight up broke clean through the middle, what the actual hell.
  15. Romain Grosjean just crashed in lap one in Bahrain and his car basically exploded, what the actual fuck. That looked horrible. Thank god right now we see him sitting in the medical car, more or less fine.
  16. Scratch this, partially. Damon Morton can never compete or even train anymore, he has a health problem because of which anything with a high intensity is strictly off limits due to serious danger. There's no cure for it apparently, it can only be treated to keep it under control while not exercising too hard.
  17. Fairly sure it was Greenland, I do remember Ukaleq has a brother
  18. Are you sure about that? I've never heard of her having a (biathlete) brother, let alone one competing at an international level. I haven't heard much of Jeremy Flanagan anymore in recent times and I think Jethro Mahon is still a while away from WC level. There's Damon Morton as well, brother of Darcie Morton if I'm not mistaken, but again, fairly sure he's not at WC level yet..
