  1. No news yet from Norfolk Island, but since North Korea also starts with 'Nor', I thought, why not post a Glorious Song? I have absolutely no idea what they're singing and probably that's for the best, but I really like the melody of this one and it's been stuck in my head for 2 days now
  2. Johan Olsson and Sami Jauhojärvi have announced their retirements. http://www.fis-ski.com/cross-country/news-multimedia/news/article=johan-olsson-retires-from-elite-skiing.html http://www.fis-ski.com/cross-country/news-multimedia/news/article=kiitos-musti-sami-jauhojarvi-has-ended-skiing-career.html
  3. Bad weather at the Tour of the Alps, meaning the Brenner pass was not done today sadly....also, live coverage was hindered because of the weather and we've been watching just the finish line and village for a while Eventually, this was the entire live part of the broadcast that actually had cyclists, who all of a sudden popped up around the corner
  4. You seem to be posting much too correct, how come you're not drunk?
  5. By watching the British Supersport race on the Eurosport Player?
  6. Well I think it's sort of weird (in a fun way) but I see no reason why it should be considered offensive I guess there's always a few girls who aren't interested in it just like I guess there's always a few guys who aren't interested in it (like in every country there are always exceptions ), but if a majority has a fun day with it, what's so bad about it?
  7. If you're not Slovak, trust me, this looks really....odd
  8. So apparently our Algerian friend @bestmen is secretly a British Supersport rider
  9. Fun stuff going on with Verstappen and Massa/Brazilian fans. Massa got in his way in the qualifying lap (according to Verstappen), and when asked if he would talk to Massa about it, he jokingly said "nah, he's Brazilian so there's not much to discuss", hinting at Brazilians being, let's say, a bit 'passionate'. First thing that happens: Brazilian fans storm social media and call him every bad name in the book, pretty much exactly proving Verstappen's point
  10. Not in the town where I live, the few Turks here don't pass the street where I live between the farms in the outskirts of my town I have no problem with that
  11. Voting YES so 'their' country gets turned into a dictatorial shithole And honking their cars. A lot. I mean, there's a reason 'Toeterturken' (loosely translated to 'honking Turks') is an accepted Dutch word around events like this or Turkish wins in football
  12. Meanwhile Dutch Turks are gathering in Rotterdam to 'celebrate' the victory of the Yes camp. Predicting clashes with police in 3, 2, 1... (although I definitely hope I'm wrong of course)
  13. I'd say Atatürk was better given the simple fact he wanted the state and religion to be separated, which is definitely a good thing
  14. Maybe he should try dinner next time
  15. Great Britain disappointed a little less than expected and I choose way too many athletes who didn't even participate in the championships, but that's my fault for not checking the start lists and news and/or changing my predictions on the days of the events Congratulations to the medalists
  16. Now hearing it's an 'official' YES and opposition will probably fight the results If only we had a Turkish active user, that'd make things a little easier
  17. CNN Türk also said Erdogan called the PM to congratulate him, this is all sort of weird
  18. More Alonso: "How can they pass me? They were like what, 300 metres behind me on the straight? I've never raced with less power...in my life." https://my.mixtape.moe/lqebkk.mp4
  19. McLaren: "Fernando, we are considering Plan B, how are the tyres?" Alonso: "Do whatever you want man."
  20. Verstappen Too bad, but when the brakes suddenly just give up, there's nothing you can do against it..
  21. Of all countries with Turkish people living in it, the Netherlands is the one with the highest percentage of YES voters. Wonderful.
  22. This crash in British F4 today 17-year old Billy Monger hit Patrik Pasma who had stopped on the track with some issue. Pasma got out fast, Monger stayed in the car for 90 minutes before he was 'rescued' and brought to a hospital by helicopter.
  23. 24 hours of Le Mans, over 20 hours of racing done...difference between 1st and 2nd? Less than 0,5 seconds
