If I'm not mistaken ( @dcro and co, correct me if I'm wrong), just 12 nations and no reserves is ok in case all of your 12 selected nations have already voted (because that means they won't be DQ'ed so you don't need reserves) Don't say if that means you need reserves or not, it's just a free advice in case you think "hey all my 12 nations have already voted" -

Doesn't necessarily make it unsafe. If you're a tourist and you don't have the brain of a peanut, you won't really get in trouble in North Korea for example.

Good show of how I always forget swimming champions because there's a trillion events: during the 200m freestyle final I heard the commentator say "Kyle Chalmers, the 100m Olympic champion". Me: "What? Ooooh wait...I vaguely remember something about that...."

To be fair, Turkmenistan does sound sort of safe. And it's one absolutely huge plus for them that the government is very much trying to keep religion away from official stuff and keep it inside people's homes as a private matter, which it basically is.

Mostly anything that gave me a 'meh' feeling got a 5 or so, because giving it a 4 or 3 or 5 wouldn't make any difference anyway
