  1. Commentator at 1:20 when Azizli makes the winning throw: "Oooooh shiiit hehe"
  2. The sprint wasn't shown at the time if I recall correctly. I'm pretty sure I would have seen it otherwise because of a certain Brazilian competitor
  3. Too bad I always just see these World Cups after they're finished, but I very much enjoyed watching almost all (final) action at the world championships and definitely want to see this sport more often
  4. Yeah but nothing is going on, it'd be better to reduce the number to 5 even.
  5. Zsanett Nemeth getting injured in the world champs semi final in front of her home crowd, then fighting half the match basically standing only on one leg and fighting mostly against her tears
  6. I think there is no rule that says "you can not share this or that song"
  7. Interesting results in the men's race. Norwegian Haakon Lie, well-known from his (among others) 448th place at the 2012 Norwegian junior championships, wins by over six minutes with 73-year old Norwegian Thai Karl Fred Kristensen in 2nd place. https://data.fis-ski.com/dynamic/results.html?sector=CC&raceid=33641
  8. Eritrea no longer has an official world record https://www.iaaf.org/news/report/world-half-marathon-record-valencia-kiptum
  9. Ever been on top of a ski jump?
  10. I hope the Dodgers win game 5, because I can't watch that one live but I can watch a possible game 6 live
  11. Thank you for the 6795th answer to my questions. Still one women's weight class and all Greco-Roman classes to go, there's gonna be more
  12. No worries mate, the only negative thing about it is that you were able to choose meaning they're not a participant
  13. That remark is high on my list of insanely annoying cliches, although "*Insert sport* has this and that characteristic, which makes it probably the most unpredictable sport of all, anything can happen in *insert sport*!"
  14. Here I am with the questions again What on earth happened in the last minutes here? It was 6-6 and 'easily' before the clock reaches zero, red takes blue down and gets 2 points and wins....then red protests?! Why on earth is red going for a protest? And they lose it! And then it's minutes of both athletes protesting everything and nobody knowing who the winner is Blue won, but I have no idea why..
  15. Wow, that women's 68kg final where Cherkasova just kept turning and turning Larroque around on her legs and the ref did nothing while the French coach was screaming his lungs out to stop the fight due to a very clear injury to Larroque's legs...
  16. Too bad, but that was to be expected. Nothing to be ashamed of for the team.
  17. Is the Netherlands already out (logical considering the three best gymnasts aren't there) or is a final still possible with a GBR-like miracle?
  18. Yep. I don't care much that he retired, I'm already very glad to read he can walk more and more and things like that. It's gonna be a very long way (recovery is much harder than being an elite athlete, his words), but as long as he keeps making progress like that, it's good.
  19. Jelle van Gorkom (BMX, Olympic silver 2016)
  20. More than nine months later and Van Gorkom today has announced he has officially retired from the sport. https://nos.nl/artikel/2256735-van-gorkom-zegt-wedstrijdfiets-vaarwel-maar-blijft-lachen.html He had been in a coma for two weeks after his accident, which was caused by a chain still being on the bottom of the starting ramp that nobody had removed yet. When he woke up, he couldn't walk, couldn't talk and only had a confused look in his eyes. Nowadays he can walk without any help if it's not too far and he can do some light work on an indoor bike, so he is definitely on the long, long road to recovery and a 'normal life'. Considering the circumstances, it's mostly good news.
  21. I had not heard it yet, but here it is: the commentator going with the classic "my sport is the sport that is known to be for everyone and where everyone has a place!"
  22. National champion jersey, European champion jersey, world champion jersey, national team jersey, all from one country
  23. Until today! Oh wait.
  24. Apu will apparently be silently kicked out of The Simpsons, because political correctness and stuff. Which means the end of The Simpsons one might assume, since if one stereotypical character has to leave, basically all of them will have to leave surely?
