actually, I'm scared by Giacomel's race...he was basically on the same time as Samuelsson after the second shooting and lost 10 to 20 seconds in the last lap against almost every other competitor, he did even lose 5 secs against the top Romanian guy, not exactly known because of his ski speed... the rest of the men's team so far is really well behind the expected standard, but we're used to slow start of the season, so, the alarm is not on, yet... on the other hand, Wierer doesn't look in top shape (neither on the skis nor at the shooting range, at least in the prone position, where she was quite slow for her standards and still missed 1 target), meanwhile Vittozzi did look quite good in the skiing part (but she still is not safe enough in the prone shooting)... the rest of the girls...well, they are where we expect they would be...coming home well after the fat lady has finished singing...

what a farce! the most stupid decision they could take! welcome to a new sport! 400 years thrown in the trash can!

it already happened last year...it's because the epg was still showing the previous program (which was geoblocked)... once the epg started its biathlon segment, it all cleared...

it's 6 months... and in that period you have to pass quite a few tests (I don't remember the minimum number, but I know there's one) before being allowed to comeback...

she's been a great inline skater... but unfortunately for us, she's stopped her inline skating career (she's going to stop her speedskating career after this season, too, I fear...or at least, that's what she said a few months ago)...

Giampiero Galeazzi, died earlier today at the age of 75. He was a rower (Italian champion in the men's single in 1967, missed the qualification to the 1968 Olympics by an inch), but, above all, he was very, very famous in Italy because he's been for years the voice of Rowing, Tennis and Flatwater Canoeing on our public TV (he also used to be the host -and sometimes the field reporter- of many Football broadcasts)... He was named "bisteccone" (big steak) because of his size... as said, he'll be always in our hearts because he called some of the most memorable wins in the history of our sport and especially because of his very emotional style... 2 (actually 3) golden moments I'll never forget... Rowing, Seoul 1988, the Abbagnale bros winning it all (Giuseppe & Carmine on the men's coxed pair, Agostino leading the men's quadruple sculls)... Canoeing, Sydney 2000, Bonomi & Rossi going for the double in the men's K2 1000m...

well, that's even better...the channel is also on HDTV (on satellite) and in a language I can understand a bit better than Norwegian...

Said of SVT Play for the Idre races, the Norwegian events are live on NRK 1 (the main public tv channel in Norway)... https://tv.nrk.no/guide/13-11-2021 most likely, they will not be available live because their website is very well protected and need a registration and a national code, but for sure, once they are over, they will be available for everybody (even without a VPN) as archived programs through their android/androidTV/iOS app...just in case they won't be uploaded on YT like it happened last year...

Brignone & Goggia will also skip this farce, meanwhile Bassino decided to waste some useful time she could invest in some more training and will travel to Lech/Zuers...
