  1. actually, the junior world championships should also count for the OQR...
  2. thanks, I didn't know (actually, I've never taken the question into consideration) that splits are considered official times also in Swimming...
  3. Behdad Salimi (WL, men's +105kg) at the London 2012 Games was listed in competition at 168.19kg p.s. also Andrei Chemerkin in 1996 was listed as heavier than Zhabotnysky (165+ kg) among the women, Li Wenwen in Tokyo 2021 was listed at 150.10kg
  4. this one isn't so surprising...we already took a big risk against UKR 10 days ago in the world cup qualifiers (game played in Riga)...only Gallinari saved our ass that night (and yesterday he wasn't available because of the bad injury he sustained in the last game before the start of this tournament)... and don't be too surprised if tonight we fully destroy ourselves with another loss to Croatia...
  5. as I wrote, I knew my list could have been not completely accurate as I didn't have many results from the national champs (and frankly I couldn't go and search for it one by one)... p.s. I'm pretty sure that checking the Japanese/Chinese Junior Nationals quite a few more fast times could be included in our lists, but I don't know where to find all those results... p.p.s. for what concerns Grimes and her 800m Free clocking, I'm not sure a mid-distance split can be counted as official (it's swimming, not athletics)...
  6. I really hope it's only a momentarily hype and it gets where it stands (at the very bottom of any list) as soon as possible... by the way, also here in Italy it has gained a lot of attention by the media, with sky Italia showing hours and hours a week of that and even some newspaper giving it more space than our Olympic Gold medallists in many sports...
  7. who's that guy? is he a totallympics' user?
  8. if only this was the biggest problem... have you read about yesterday's shameful disorders after GEO vs TUR and about the unbelievable tech mistake by the refs in the GER vs LTU match? (with the following protest not even taken into consideration by FIBA)
  9. he took a big, big risk (for his own life)... many people, who bought the (very expensive) ticket to see Giannis play, were seen near the Greek locker room with baseball bats, pistols and shotguns...
  10. Junior Mixed Team Skeet Gold: Great Britain (Sophie Herrmann & Mitchell Brooker-Smith) Silver: Slovakia (Miroslava Hockova & Ladislav Nemeth) Bronze: Italy 2 (Sara Bongini & Marco Coco) and Finland (Nea Josefine Vallioniemi & Oskari Aatos Juhani Lehtimaeki)
  11. as expected, the women's rankings are quite different from the junior events results we've seen through the year, as we have a couple of senior world champions still in the age of the junior class. Most prominent name is surely Summer McIntosh, dominating good 5 disciplines, but also Benedetta Pilato (100m breastroke world and european champion) and a few more senior world (and / or continental) medallists like Katie Grimes that didn't participate to any of the junior events this year. meanwhile the 3/4 most promising men (Popovici above all, but also Masiuk, Whittle and Coetze) still in the junior class of 2022 did take part into the main junior events of the season.

  14. according to the list I did find, he did it at a Polish National meet in late February... but it might be a mistake (I think it was a short course time that was put in the 50m pool list as a mistake)...
  15. so, the first week of RS is over... next couple of games for each team will be next weekend (September 8th through September 11th)...

  17. great job, but if we look at the world ranking lists for this year, the outcome is quite different in many disciplines... for instance, in the men's 50m free, Krzysztof CHMIELEWSKI has a 21.64 recorded early in the season (never backed up with anything close to that, however)... maybe later today or tomorrow I'm going to post the 2022 Jr. WRL, just to have a full view of what happened through the whole season...
  18. never watched Game Of Thrones and will never do it. same with this one, of course. I just don't like this kind of fantasy saga movies/tv series...
