  2. so, after only 4 games played, Groups C & D are already done and dusted... and also Group B already has a qualified team... Red Bull Munich, Tappara Tampere, Rögle BK Ångelholm, EV Zug and ZSC Lions Zürich are the first 5 teams qualified to the knockout stage.

  4. our politicians are too stupid to look at what happens abroad...they're only interested on putting their dirty hands on public institutions and money...
  5. no, it's basically impossible but we might have a change of attitude towards the European Institutions (even if I don't think that also...it's improbable that a couple of parties with no absolute majority can do anything -because that's it, FdI and Lega together won't reach even 35%...and they're the only 2 parties that would like to get Italy less "Europeist" among all the relevant groups)
  6. Mixed Team Skeet Gold: Great Britain 1 (Amber Hill & Ben Llewellin) Silver: Italy 2 (Diana Bacosi & Tammaro Cassandro) Bronze: Czech Republic 2 (Barbora Sumova & Jakub Tomecek) and Sweden (Victoria Larsson & Stefan Nilsson)
  7. Mixed Team Skeet Gold Medal Match: Italy 2 (Diana Bacosi & Tammaro Cassandro) vs Great Britain 1 (Amber Hill & Ben Llewellin) Bronze Medal Match #1: Czech Republic 2 (Barbora Sumova & Jakub Tomecek) vs Azerbaijan 2 (Rigina Meftakhetdinaova & Niyaz Aghazada) Bronze Medal Match #2: Sweden (Victoria Larsson & Stefan Nilsson) vs Greece (Emmanouela Katzouraki & Nikolaos Mavrommatis)
  8. it's always the same problem...if you want some non-European participation, you have to sacrify some strong European teams... moreover, this time the European participants have been determined by the results of the last European Championship only, which was a tournament where most of the top teams sent deprived squads because it was held too close to the Olympics (and their last chance qualifiers), therefore we had some surprising (to say the least) results...
  9. trying to save some $$$

  14. yes, the MQS is not so demanding...they are way above the minimum (and they already had it in any case, in this specific situation they were there because the home team was allowed to enter also their reserves for the official event, which normally doesn't happen in global championships...RPO shooters are often seen at world cup events, though)...
  15. they're athletes out of the actual competition, shooting only to obtain the MQS (minimum quota score to have access to the next international events and to qualify to a possible second/third personal event beyond the one where they actually qualify)...
  16. I'm sorry you took that so personally. Let's be honest, there are no stereotypes...Balkan mafia exists as much as Italian or Russian or Chinese or Japanese's (add the culture you want...you'll find some similar behaviour). That doesn't mean that I think that all people from that area are part of that, as I don't think that all the Southern Italians are mafia men nor the Chinese, Japanese or whoever you may like. My criticism/flame/kind of heavy dislike is only related to the FINA tech commission and the bunch of refs that are their fire arms. Point. And still stands, because the question exists and is it's still a long way before it would eventually be fixed. No way I wanted to offend nor express bad consideration of normal people who live their lives with pride and honesty. I'm the last man on earth who live and think according to any stereotype. I thought it was well clear after years of writing on this forum and I thought I would never need I explicitly had to clarify that. Now I hope that this argument is over and I let you talk of waterpolo in peace.
  17. Men's Individual Skeet Gold: Jakub Tomecek Silver: Luigi Lodde Bronze: Ben Llewellin Olympic Quota (to the NOC, not to the athletes): Jakub Tomecek & Luigi Lodde
  18. tbh, I didn't quote your post when talking of mafia... I never intended to be racist, we all know that there is a problem (and here it's a really serious thing, as it influences all of our daily life and not only just a simple sport event)...and hiding it under the carpet is useless and senseless... p.s. if there are 2 teams that never ever played "dirty" waterpolo in their whole history, those are Italy and Spain, who normally have players half the size of the Eastern European/Balkan teams and like to swim around rather than having a butchery at the 4m line... p.p.s. as I wrote, it might happen that some of our players do something they shouldn't do, but surely it's not the case of this championships and especially yesterday night, when the game was decided by a whistle that can't be only a simple mistake by the same ref who already had a very big problem with Italy a few days ago...that's unacceptable... once again, he should have never been designated to ref yesterday's match...
  19. Men's Semifinals, Ranking Match #2 Jesper Hansen, 28 (Q) Ben Llewellin, 27 + 4 (Q) Yaroslav Startsev, 27 + 3 Mikola Milchev, 16
  20. not sure they already have the updated version available at ESC...they might still use God save the Queen today...
  21. Men's Semifinals, Ranking Match #1 Luigi Lodde, 28 (Q) Jakub Tomecek, 28 (Q) Eric Delaunay, 27 Tammaro Cassandro, 18
  22. Women's Individual Skeet Gold: Amber Hill Silver: Nadine Messerschmidt Bronze: Danka Bartekova Olympic Quota (to the NOC, not to the athletes): Amber Hill & Nadine Messerschmidt
  23. Women's Semifinals, Ranking Match #2 Amber Hill, 30 (Q) Danka Bartekova, 29 (Q) Konstantia Nikolaou, 24 Marjut Heinonen, 16
  24. Heinonen first eliminated in the ranking match #2 down to SVK, GBR and CYP for the 2 spots in the final...
  25. size doesn't matter (in this case...), Italy doesn't have any infuence in any sport because our officials normally sell our Country's interests for their own personal's (the worst of them all in that discipline...Franco Carraro and Bruno Grandi )... it's almost always been that way, unfortunately...most of them are just a bunch of greedy idiots... p.s. it might well be that mafia is an Italian word and that some kind of practice started in a certain part of our Country, but as it often happens, the pupils have overtaken the master by quite some time (and big time, I'd say)...
