Another tragedy with migrants today here... Two days ago 52 migrants (all young men from Afghanistan of course) jumped the border fence with Turkey with a common ladder. Skipping the part, where this group hadn't been spotted from authorities and/or regular people, until they were found in an abandoned truck in the woods, all the way nearly to Sofia. All 52 people were stacked in secret compartments at the bottom of the truck, under the load of timber. Those compartments weren't fully compact though and the fumes from the truck were going in. End result is 18 dead migrants, while the other 34 are transported to the hospital. It's assumed, that the traffickers were getting 2500 euros per person, just to transport them inside Bulgaria, which makes 130 000 euros from this run alone. And then people wonder why traffickers are only increasing. I am sure the EU politicians will be very "saddened and concerned", even though this tragedy (and all such prior ones) should be on their conscious.

And there is an uphill finish tomorrow as well.

Let i've said before, no real boycott will happen at the end and it's just smoke and lightning from a few countries to see, if their bluff will work. US and Canada will not boycott in anyway and France is the worst host for this idea, as they are a valuable strategic partner in bigger, non-sports, departments. Do people actually believe there won't be any backstage strings being pulled, so that the French Games aren't ruined? The 3 Baltic states are the only ones i see, that could potentially stick it to the end, as it won't be a significant loss for them (or the Games), if they missed out. Mayyyyybe 1-2 of the Scandinavian ones, but i can't see how Macron wouldn't sway them. Poland is barking the loudest, but i would be gobsmacked, if they actually boycotted. Their politicians are just using what is popular today and then will promptly make up an excuse, when time comes.

B U L G A R I A Молец - Случки (english -> Molec - Events) LYRICS: Well, for the this years contest i not only chose a song from the past year, but also a duo / group, that started their career in the past year. The two boys from Molec are childhood friends, but started doing music together only in 2022 and quickly are becoming the biggest rising stars here, because of their deep and heartfelt lyrics and regular down to earth personas. They have admitted, that they aren't professionally trained singers, but have pure love and emotion for music. I had difficulty choosing, which of their songs to use and per tradition switched it in the last seconds. And i couldn't find any english lyrics, so had to do the translations myself, so if there is something not very understandable, that's on me.

Is this a lower level World Cup? I saw some news about a good performance yesterday in the individual, but that's about it. Strange to see a team success, as we have always had only 1 adequate athlete, if any at all, in fencing. :D
