it seems i havent understand this question dont we have only one NOC quota per event?

if only one of these two wins a gold medal the result is NO, right?

some clarifications n the following questions: with "Caribbean nations" we mean obviously and the big ones also, Cuba, Jamaica etc? if i get it right, both questions mean: will win first Olympic medal ever in the specific event?? Question means that every podium will be achieved by FRA, HUN, ITA teams / individual fencers 1. at least by one of these NOCs or 2. from all these NOC together
