The points count for 1 year, so the WCH points will stay in ranking until the end of qualification period, now there is the world cup final in which there is only Ger, FIN, Lux and UAE in contention for ranking.It's still possible, but very difficult for De Filippis losing that quota in particular for the way he is shooting.

De Filippis is a strong medal candidate, but in this moment there are probably 50 shooters who can win medals in men trap, and more than half of these shooters will stay at home next year

It is better for De Filippis and in particolar for Italy that nobody won the quota, he is by far the best italian in these months and he will easily qualify himself by world ranking.I hope Italy wont win next year pass, because he deserves going to Tokyo where he will be a gold metal contender, and if he doesnt qualify nominally and will win next year pass, i highly Doubt he will be chosen to represent Italy.

You are a little too much strict on the judgment of the Italian results in my modest opinion, you consider very good only gold medal, this year Ned in 4x was way better than any other. I agree with you with Lodo and Vicino making our 4- a gold medal contender, mostly if Bond will be back for NZ there will be only 1 bronze medal available in 2-, and that bronze medal could be achievable also with other 2 guys.Are you sure that in final regatta a Nation can qualify only one boat per Gender?

We don't have the depth in women to build a competitive 8, for the single there isn't the culture of this boat in Italy, also in the man when we compete in that boat is usually a discard of all the other boats, Martini did a miracle today qualifying the boat in Tokyo.

France has been a lot more negative of Italy. It's not that two 4th place can change the judgment from super positive, because with 4 medals in men boats it would have been super positive, to a disaster. We have qualified 9 boats, 4 in women, in Rio before repechage we qualified 1 women boat, the single scull after 16 years winning the only place behind 8 monsters(I underline 8 monster to say that in this boat no one is a lock medal). Now we can try to find a decent male double and try to qualify that boat, for the men 8 and 4 women I think there is no chance. Quite good day for Italian crews, Lodo and Vecino next year will be for sure on the podium fighting for silver with NZ, I don't think Sinkovic Brothers are beatable, great silver medal for LM2x and good bronze for 4x even if I expected silver(the gold medal was already assigned before the race, too stron Ned this year). Great to see Italian girls qualifying 4x, until 3 days ago I didn't think it was possible. Pity for 4- men but was quite clear they weren't in their best shape. I think Dostal' s quota in k1 is given back and France needed only 1 quota to qualify k4, but now there are France' s quotas in k1 200 and k2 1000 that have to be given back, so in my opinion also Czech Republic and probably Italy could qualify k4 men.
