  1. I felt these Games were also hurt by poor scheduling.
  2. Additionally, there are two more non-finishers. Canada's Mississippi was not presented today, while Peru's Vento got eliminated. Sadly Peru loses a decent team result now.
  3. Apparently Canada had a rotten luck yesterday. Karl Slezak's horse slipped on a turn, was lucky to avoid a fall, but still had to pick up 20 penalties for crossing his tracks. Colleen Loach had a tack malfunction early on course, which explains the very slow time she posted.
  4. Which surfing events gives quotas for Tokyo 2020?
  5. No drama at the horse inspection. All American and Brazilian horses got accepted.
  6. Some great news for Thailand. Both Arinadtha Chavatanont (on Bolleybawn Prince) and Weerapat Pitakanonda (on Chateau de Versailles) reached minimum requirements at the short format in Strzegom. Of course, they still need to meet the requirements at a long format competition, and also Thailand needs the 3rd rider to form a team. For the moment, this is mostly terrible bit of news for both India and Hong Kong.
  7. Yeah, Evenepoel will run out of motivation very soon.
  8. I guess that's because there are a lot of stallions involved, especially in 5/6-year-old divisions. A lot of them never make it to the Olympics or something, but they usually have successful breeding careers.
  9. Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses (Ermelo, NED) Final for 5-year-old horses Andreas Helgstrand / Jovian - 9.66 Jessica Lynn Thomas / Secret - 9.64 Andreas Helgstrand / Queenparks Wendy - 9.42 Final for 6-year old horses Frederic Wandres / Zucchero OLD - 9.66 Andreas Helgstrand / Revolution - 9.44 Andreas Helgstrand / Zhaplin Langholt - 9.34 Final for 7-year-old horses Severo Jurado / d'Avie - 85.107% Jan Moeller Christensen / Hesselhoej Donkey Boy - 85.021% Isabel Freese / Total Hope OLD - 84.250%
  10. Btw, 6-year olds final is in progress in Ermelo. If there is an equestrian competition I never watch, then that would be Young Horse World Championships, but alright.
  11. Nothing is listed on FEI calendar, so I guess not. There could be national competitions though.
  12. @heywoodu Apparently Valverde himself was in Ermelo this week, and he almost won a medal. https://www.longinestiming.com/equestrian/2019/longines-fei-wbfsh-dressage-world-breeding-championship-for-young-horses-ermelo/resultlist_D03.html
  13. After cross-country... Individual Boyd Martin (Tsetserleg) - 25.60 Lynn Symansky (RF Cool Play) - 29.20 Carlos Parro (Quaikin Qurious) - 34.90 Team 91.20 117.70 183.70 224.60 244.50 268.10 1125.50 2064.60 2074.80 3000.00
  14. And it's another steady clear for Brazil. Canada is probably done. Brazil should be counting its lucky stars. Looks like they will qualify full teams in every discipline. Before the event started it was more likely that they will be heading home with nothing.
  15. I don't believe they do. Only show jumping should be broadcasted as far as I know. Asian Games had a complete coverage, so this is rather disappointnig.
  16. will battle for quotas in men's skeet. Mexico with a chance once again.
  17. Pan Am Games are over for Czechoslovakia. @hckosice
  18. I should have been more clear. First West Coast eventer* in the US team after a long while. Dressage/jumping usually have them.
  19. Two refusals for Tamie Smith. First West Coast rider in the US team after a long while, and then this happens...
  20. Very bad round for Dana Cooke. One refusal in Machu Picchu, and another refusal after that. At least she completes unlike the Brazilian trailblazer.
  21. Apparently at least a couple of riders took a dive at Lake Titicaca so far. Live results: Individual - Team
