  1. If Egypt are to keep the same level of competition in the WC and Olympics then they must have a full squad of players playing in Europe. For Pastor i think he was unlucky with injuries in both tournaments he managed the team in, but i wouldnt mind another Parondo. And yeah why not be optimistic, with a good start in the first 15 min we can pull off the upset which will be historic, all we need is for Mohamad Ali to have the same form el-rooby had against Russia in 2001.
  2. For me Egypt deserve credit for reaching this stage without the team's best player Yahya Elderaa before the tournament and without the second best Ahmad Hesham in the main round, So finishing 5th or 6th would still be a big achievement. And although France are the favorites but they doesnt look unbeatable like Denmark and if Ahmad Hesham is fit and if Egypt can replicate the same defense they applied against France at the Olympics things may get very interesting.
  3. actually Egypt is unimpressive since the start of the second half against Belgium a lot of turnovers and missing a lot of easy chances wiether they are getting complacint or cant handle the pressure of being a main contender is remain to be seen
  4. The referees made a huge mistake in the last 10 minutes when the Denmark player scored a goal after obvious 4 steps ,and when Ivano balic protested the referee gave the bench 2 min suspension ,I'm not saying Croatia must have won if the referee didnt make that mistake but when the game ends in a draw any ball could have made a huge difference. Best game in the tournament till now though and had a world cup final vibes.
  5. Believe me nothing against Sweden, i was just giving my opinion based on my own observation and i've already said i might be wrong. but i'm sorry if my comments seemed arrogant take it easy and lets enjoy the tournament
  6. Gottfridsson is a beast i'm a big fan, and may be i'm wrong or a little bit bias ,but i still think the depth of the Egyptian squad will be too much. Handball is not like football where fans can make a real difference, and i was talking in general regardless of the WC, but u know what ? if everything goes as expected Egypt should meet Sweden in QF, lets see how much Sweden improved since the Olympics.
  7. Believe me i'm not i just think that Sweden ,Norway , Island and Germany r all in the same level which is very good and all of them in a good day can beat Egypt but it should be considered an upset, just like if Egypt won one of the top 3 i mentioned.
  8. easy work for Egypt just as expected with all due respect to Croatia they r a great team funny though how most people dismissed egypt chances just for the absence of one player (yahya khaled) his replacement mohsen ramadan scored 6 goal i think and mohab saeed scored a goal if egypt can keep this form nobody can stop them other than the usual 3 france denmark and spain
