  1. Your profile picture says it all! There are still 6 days before nordic combined, so maybe there is a chance for him.
  2. J. Boe + L.Tandrevold had close contact to someone possitive. https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/biathlon-norways-boe-identified-close-contact-covid-case-2022-02-03/
  3. Sara Takanashi - Ryōyū Kobayashi in ski jumping. Anybody who isn't norwegian in cross-country. :D Jessica Diggins , Iivo Niskanen , Federico Pellegrino . Everybody from "small" wintersports nations.
  4. I will start day -2 with curling of course. Further day will be easy: wake up about 8-9 am (CET) to watch biathlon/cross-country live after that it is time for ski-jumping/short-track/luge evening session. After it is time for on-demand replays of the early action alpine ski/snowboard whatever. And some curling matches. Maybe hockey. "Luckily" - I have only part-time job, so most of days free. Basically the same program as for Tokyo. But more easy to follow.
  5. Hard choice for me. Torino was the first WOG I really watched, and I enjoyed it completely. Vancouver - I was completely hyped for and the games delivered. Sochi first game with on demand and streaming and I could watch everything I want and like but and I also opened up to new (for me) sports. On the other hand doping scandal put it shadows over it. PyeongChang was nice and fine, but somehow I missed something special, maybe I got more delusional about the Olympics? So i voted for nostalgia and Vancouver, but I like to vote ex-equo with Torino.
  6. Watching his year World Cup it is not expected, that Germany will win gold in Biathlon. But men showed up trend, and someone like Lesser could perform in relay much better than his paper form. And when others miss everything could be possible. Also Herrmann concentrated her training completely for Olympics with a lot of high altitude training. So I think it is possible but rather rare.
  7. " If there are less than 12 nations with at least four male competitors, then the next nation with three allocated quota places will be allocated an additional quota place until there are twelve qualified teams." By now there are only 9 teams qualified: . So with three quotas should get fourt one, but what than? has only three eligible athlets and no other NOC has three quotas, several with two, but if they really want 12 teams, there are no quotas left to do this. Quotas and rellocations are so confusing to me.
  8. Found the full article they were talking about. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41893-021-00696-5.pdf?origin=ppub If someone interested. Short summary: sustainbility is decreasing slowly and SLC was the most sustainable since 2002.
  9. Conratulations to Kobayashi for constant and good jumping! All other had one or more bad jumps. Every year german media make a lot of pressure to their jumpers and even they are good, they can handle it.
  10. First two weekends of cross-country WC was nice, in my opinion. A little more feeling for international competiton, but now the flashbacks of norwegian domination are back.
  11. Halvor Egner Granerud miss to qualify to first Ruka event. :O Losing even to the Ipcioglu - his 2nd start in WC. Karl Geiger has some luck to build early advantage in WC. Last week Ryoyu Kobayashi DSQ, now Granerud. Polish team is beeing a mess. Polish coach: Finland jumps also terrible.
  12. Not so much as far i can see. They start first on 3rd day on Monday and for several day only one game per day. The recast is pretty weird, but okay. You get 100 credits for registration and one curling game cost 50cr, but you can "watch advertisement" for another credits. 2 minutes ad = another 50cr. Or just buy for real money. Weird, I thought micro-transactions are just computer/mobile/video games thing, not sport streaming.
  13. An interesting interview with president of WADA from polish news portal: https://sport.interia.pl/aktualnosci-sportowe/news-tylko-w-interii-witold-banka-system-w-stanach-zjednoczonych-,nId,5496162 I mean he use a lot of diplomatic langue to say nothing at all, but you can found some critics about important stakeholders.
  14. Maybe you can add Slovenian and Slovakian medals together. As some China´s newspaper added HKG and TPE medlas togheter. BTW. Full Game only 11 minutes?
  15. That was intense tournament. And surprising medallist. Does anybody predicted gold for France and bronze for Argentina? Ngapeth is MVP. Pretty obvious after he played alone against ROC. Poland is set as 5th - the best of the (quarterfinal)-losers. https://en.volleyballworld.com/volleyball/competitions/olympics-2020/standings/men/#round-f Hmm… interesting. At previous Olympics all QF losers were placed tied as 5th – this time they differentiated between the teams. I assume that they take points scored in group and quarterfinals matches as ranking, but nowhere on FIVB page could I found any information about the procedure.
  16. For me the Games are not over yet. I still have a lot of events to watch. (Only watched 110 so far), I propably need the next week to get done with everything i interessted to. :D Today I will watch climbing, track cycling and probably rythmic gymnastic with my girlfriend. Team sports finals are than next on my list.
  17. My schedule for tomorrow: 8:00 Wake up and breakfast 8:15 Watch Olympic Games 24:00 Go to bed :D
