    I am going to predict no Gold’s for Gb in the velodrome. I think they will be a few more silver’s and bronzes maybe in the men’s print and Kerrin and women’s omnium.

    Laura Kenny getting slaughtered on Twitter - Guess GB not wining gold in cycling is going to be seen as a flop. Jess Varnish will get the blame in the Daily Mail.

    The British press will spin that inexplicably as the UCI hating GB lol - it’s easy to moan even when GB would have been humiliated in the final.

    With Cycling getting silvers for GB will get them a lot more criticism than getting silvers in other sports. The BBC have tried to reduce expectations but it hasn’t really worked going by social media. Cycling is also part of the culture war - both in terms of the British Cycling set up and also the general culture of cycling.

    IAAF won’t care - records help build interest in a sport wrecked by retirement and doping and as everyone is doing it nobody at home notices,

    I think the worse result in Atheltics will surely be Great Britain. No medals looks a serious possibility and I would not hesitate how much an effect that will have - even those putting in good performances will be affected.

    Masalingi has passed my parents feminine test which the 800m three always failed. So maybe many people will find it hard to understand her as much as she doesn’t look like massively masculine unlike those three. Maboma falis it - she is lot more noticeable.

    It be interesting how the USA media handle it - there a lot of supporters of Semenya in America.

    The IAAF will not want a Namibia medal in the 200m. Semenya and the rest have been controversial enough and coming the day after the weightlifting it could lol get very toxic and bitter.,
