In death certificate, there is something that is called "direct cause of death". In every of 3000 italian cases, COVID19 will be main cause of death, no matter how many other ilnesess dead ones had.

Yes, no doubt about increase. Cases are growing exponentially, when country reach a peak, then we can talk about improvement. What is your field? Infectologists are first to be hit, but after few cases everybody is in danger. Unfortunately, there are many potential hotspots. Italy still hasnt reach its peak, France and Spain are in great danger. Germany, Netherlands...Even Faroe Islands had unexpectedly high record yesterday. I can only pray that this pandemic wont claim many more lives. Present numbers are more than scary.

I see your point. And agree to some extent. We will see what will happen in China. Number of imported cases is higher than domestic ones. I would advise them not to loosen their measures at least 4 more weeks. That period will be sufficient for us to see if there will be more cases of reinfection or some atypic cases with longer incubation. With just dozen of cases on daily basis with declining trending, China will effectivelly eradicate epidemic.

Chinese system of total prohibition was quite effective. As a physician, i can tell you that restrictive measures are really effective if conducted properly.

Indeed. But still, corona doesnt give any chance, unlike seasonal flue. Its like fire spreading and firemen cant do anything but watch and wait for fire to do what it does. Yes, women are luckily spared to some extent.

Montenegrin media published yesterday that Italian hotspots recorded lower numbers than before. Just after that, 250 new deaths. Now 175 more. Tragic indeed. Almost 1500 dead after just 3 weaks.

Thanks! Well, we have 500 people under surveilance. 10% of them tested is, according to our epidemiologists, more than enough. I also think that there have to be someone infected but ok, our public health officials should know better.

No. We had 60+ tests and they were all negative. Considering our size, number of tests performed isnt that bad. On the other hand, all neighbouring countries have many cases so it was expected that Montenegro already have at least one case.

Looks like my homecountry is one of the last without any case. Actually, last one in Europe. As a medical practiotioner, i am still confused how is this possible.
