  1. That was amazing! Two relays and a WR straight after! Congratz , and !
  2. Early timeslot for shorttrack at 09.35 local time... Guess I'll try to watch some of it though!
  3. Rip. She lost those crucial 0,2s almost completely with her start I fear.
  4. Great semifinal for Sedney (60mH women)! Hoping for a PB and medal for her.
  5. TEAM NL Women N'Ketia Seedo - 60m Zoë Sedney - 60mh Maayke Tjin-A-Lim - 60mh Lieke Klaver - 400m Femke Bol - 400m Jessica Schilder - shot put Lisanne de Witte - 4x400m Eveline Saalberg - 4x400m Andrea Bouma 4x400m Men Joris van Gool - 60m Koen Smet - 60mh Liam van der Schaaf - 60mh Liemarvin Bonevacia - 400m Isayah Boers - 400m Tony van Diepen - 800m Samuel Chapple - 800m Tim Verbaandert - 3000m Menno Vloon - pole vault Nick Smidt - 4x400m Taymir Burnet - 4x400m Terrence Agard - 4x400m Jochem Dobber - 4x400m Sadly no Nadine Visser, no Anouk Vetter and no Emma Oosterwegel. I think Visser and Oosterwegel are injured and Vetter chose a shorter indoor season. Femke Bol, Liemarvin Bonevacia and the 400m relays are probaby the highlights! I'm curious what Sedney and Schilder will bring in their events.
  6. Sadly I didn't follow sports early enough to witness established names like Indurain or Absalon, so I went for the best out of the ones I have seen: Cancellara, Hoy and Schurter
  7. Full day 2 results: 1000m women: 1. Florence Brunelle 2. Gilli Kim 3. Diede van Oorschot 3000m relay women: 1. Canada 2. Netherlands 3. Hungary 1000m men: 1. Minseo Kim 2. Geonnyeong Park 3. Dogyu Lee 3000m relay men: 1. Italy 2. Hungary 3. France Interesting that Korea sweeps both the 1000m and 1500m podiums on the mens side, but in the relay they finished third in the B final. I don't see any penalties or big time differences that indicate a fall in the results.
  8. First day results of the Short Track World Junior Championships 2022, in Gdansk: 1500m women: 1. Gilli Kim 2. Angel Daleman 3. Yeonjae Jang 500m women: 1. Florence Brunelle 2. Ann-Sophie Bachand 3. Michelle Velzeboer 1500m men: 1. Geonnyeong Park 2. Dogyu Lee 3. Minseo Kim 500m men: 1. Jenning de Boo 2. Bence Nogradi 3. Peter Jaszapati It looks like tomorrow still has the 1000m and relay finals.
  9. For Dutch terms this is a huge fencing talent pool Thanks for the update!
  10. I encountered an article about a young Dutch fencer recently, I wonder if she can play a role of significance here. Ava Emanuel if I remember correctly, should be in the junior class I think.
  11. Highlight of the Dutch indoor championships were the 400m races, with notable times from: Femke Bol 50.30 (PB, NR, WL), Lieke Klaver 51.20 (PB) and on the mens side Liemarvin Bonevacia 45.48 (PB, NR). After the indoor championships 4 men and 3 women have run an individual qualifying time for the indoor world championship. I love that our 400m runners have really been improving together as a unit! In other news: Nadine Visser got injured during the 60mH (in a leading position), Zoe Sedney won in 7,98. 18 yo Nketia Seedo won the womens 60m in 7,25 Jessica Schilder won the shot put with 19,35m (NR). It's officially a NR, but unofficially she has thrown 19,72m already.
  12. Another WL for Bol with 50.64 on the 400m, beating Kaczmarek, Swiety-Ersetic and Klaver. Edit: apparently it's only 0.01 off Bols PB and national record. Should be a good chance that she beats those at the indoor worlds!
  13. I forgot to mention I always follow football as well! Good luck in the Danish league. My home team has got important matches coming up the next two weeks in the Conference League and a cup semifinal. I don't see us having a realistic chance of beating Ajax for the Eredivisie, so I'm hoping we can win something else this season.
  14. Another indoor meet at Düsseldorf today: Nadine Visser won her first 60mH of the season in 7,93s. Ewa Swodoba took the 60m in 7,10s Arthur Cissé won the 60m on the men's side in 6,56s Milan Trajkovic won the 60mH in 7,61 Malaika Mihambo jumped a 6,96m WL to win women's long jump. Bo Kanda Lita Baehre took men's pole vault with a PB 5,82m.
  15. Another Olympics is over... So what is everyone looking forward to watching next? I'm looking forward to road cycling classics (Strade Bianche 5 March!), indoor athletics world championship (18-20 March) and short track world championship (18-20 March).
  16. Sorry I missed this one. At least I got my first point yesterday, that's enough to start a crippling gambling addiction. Thanks Vlhova!
  17. Agree completely! I felt immediately after Wüst's race that we witnessed Dutch sports history right there.
