  1. First they determine Path D based on the results of League D... 1. 2. 3. 4. Then Path C based on the results of League C.... 1. 2. 3. 4. - already qualified 5. Then Path B based on the results of League B.... 1. 2. - already qualified 3. - will likely qualify 4. - already qualified 5. - already qualified 6. - already qualified 7. - will likely(?) qualify 8. - already qualified 9. 10. - already qualified 11. 12. Then Path A based on the results of League A... 1-11. all qualified or will likely qualify 12. So Path A has 3 open spots. We have to fill those with League B teams... but those also already qualified or are in Path B. So now we have to fill those with League C teams. 6. 7. 8. And that's how you get a Path A with mostly League C teams.
  2. These are the play-offs for the remaining 4 spots at Euro 2020 based on the NL ranking. Sweden already qualified, so you obviously don't have to play in the PO.
  3. So vs. and vs. will be the most important and most interesting matches of the last matchday. If everything goes as expected (Ireland doesn't beat Denmark and Wales beats Hungary), this is what will happen at the Play-offs: Path D vs. vs. Path C vs. vs. Path B vs. vs. Path A vs. vs.
  4. Oh wait, I forgot Wales can't be ahead of them even if they beat us (unless they beat us with a LOT of goals), so Croatia can only go below the second place if we beat Wales. In others words, they are pretty safe.
  5. lol, classic Croatia if they fuck up their qualification at the last moment. Obv they would qualify from the Play-offs anyway, but still.
  6. Christ, we truly need a miracle. I mean, no matter what happens today, we have to beat Wales on Tuesday because there's absolutely no way Slovakia won't beat Azerbaijan at home. And lol, if we fail, we will need an even bigger miracle at the Play-offs.
  7. Budapest is officially ready to host Euro 2020. (too bad that our NT will likely miss this event )
  8. Well, I could have guessed this withdraw after the abysmal ratings of the last few years. Nobody cares about this show in Hungary, so it makes sense that MTVA doesn't want to "waste" taxpayer money on it. I think this is going to be a looong break for us, not just one year like 2006 or 2010. I wouldn't even be surprised if we won't return during the 2020s.
  9. I know. I just assumed that we have Section 9 of the Official Rulebook as the official process of host selection and it's not something that we just ignore whenever we feel like it. I mean, if that's not the case, Section 9 shouldn't be part of the rules or should be changed to favor veteran users over newcomers.
  10. Does Australia want to the host the contest? Because according to the rules they should get one of them if Netherlands doesn't want both (Australia finished behind the Netherlands in both contests and also were in the Top3 both times).
  11. Favorite song out of the overall Top4: Netherlands (9) - Australia (11) - Sweden (5) - Hungary (10) - Didn't vote for the Top4 (2) -
  12. The point difference between the Top2 nations, Netherlands and Australia, per countries: NED +12 or +11 (4) - NED +10 or +9 (2) - NED +8 or +7 (3) - NED +6 or +5 (1) - NED +4 or +3 (2) - NED +2 or +1 (3) - 0 (6) - AUS +1 or +2 (5) - AUS +3 or +4 (2) - AUS +5 or +6 (3) - AUS +7 or +8 (3) - AUS +9 or +10 (2) - AUS +11 or +12 (1) - 15 countries preferred Netherlands and 16 preferred Australia. 6 didn't vote for them. Technically you can say that Netherlands won because it had more countries (4 vs. 1) in the +12 or +11 range, so it won thanks to Italy, Tunisia, Slovenia, and Egypt.
  13. 167 points. I think that's enough for a Top3 placement in most contests. Anyway, I am very much afraid that I will never be able to top this results.
  14. Here's the issue I was talking about. AUS got 5 points from POL, but only 4 points were added on the scoreboard (165 instead of 166)
  15. Hm, I think Australia lost a point on the scoreboard after POL voted. They had 161 before POL, got +5 from POL, but only had 165 after it.
  16. or has to get 11 or 12 points from , otherwise it's officially over.
  17. This is the second 12 points exchange (Hungary and Portugal) after Netherlands and Croatia, right? Thank you Portugal!
  18. I think the US is ahead of Algeria, because they got their points from more countries.
  19. I never expected to reach 100 points with world/folk music, let alone doing it under two sessions. I can't complain, no matter what happens in the last leg.
  20. The songs behind the Top3 are really close to each other, the ranking can still change a lot.
