We cannot blame govt or SAI. The Federation itself is not doing right things. It has not sent the only one who is in Continental qualification spot to this championship. As for your comparison with Boxing and Wrestling, Boxing is very popular in the some pockets of the country. Wrestling has a tradition all over the country in one way or another. Integration of Judo is tough as people are not inclined towards it's style. It is an acquired taste to say the least.

I don't know but maybe China are not allowed to participate in it at all. Not sure I read somewhere if you get 2 or more quotas you cannot participate in continental qualifiers

No in India we don't get flowers or anything else. Some students may get chocolates but those are the good students. Most students are like why the hell did the holidays finish. In India school starts around June first week or end of May.
