  2. However, in real world, there are no country who have more than 7 players, and china (16/20) is the only country who sent 12 players among 2 olympics. Very restrictive for asia... but not in athletics or swimming where western dominates..

  5. taekwondo has same rule though no dominating country now exist
  6. https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/jeux-olympiques/tableau-des-medailles/ Gracenote updated their projection. Although the things are still very unrealistic, they erased some players not competing in this olympic.
  7. South Korea Woo Sang-Hyuk (Athletics, Men's High Jump) Kim Seo-Yeong (Swimming, Women's individual Medley)
  8. For , hopefully 7 Gold and 25 medals in total. Good gold chances (7) 1~3. Archery Men's team, Archery Women's team, Archery Mixed team, and Archery Women's individuals. Checked 4, Although, only ~3 of them are realistic. - Women's team are in difficulty as they struggled in recent championship in Berlin, and in world cup losed twice vs team. - Men's team and Mixed team are in very high chance. - At least one individual wins are possible, as always. Of course, in archery there are many good individual players than team games. I'll bet Lim Si-Hyeon (Women) for gold, either 4. Badminton Women single : An Se-young (WR#1, maybe vs. Chen ( ) in final) or Women's doubles Baek and Lee(WR#2, but having good win record recently. also vs ) 5. Fencing Men's Sabre team : (WR#1, maybe vs. in final) or Women's Epee team (WR#2, maybe vs. ) 6. Modern pentathlon women : Sung Seung-Min (Wch#1 & WR#1, maybe vs. ) 7. Shooting Women's pistol 25m : Kim Ye-Ji and Yang Ji-In, (maybe vs. players), or rifle 10m Keum Ji-Hyeon and Ban Hyojin (vs. ). Both of those pistol and rifle we have good records in 3rd~4th ISSF world cup, after new olympic national team member was chosen. Good medal chances (about 15~17, except gold) 2 Archery (Men's individuals : Kim Woo Jin (Men), Lee Woo Seok (Men) ) + Women's team 2 badminton :One for Seo Seung-Jae, who plays both in Men's doubles (WR#4, Kang & Seo), Mixed doubles (WR#3, Seo & Chae) could get one medal at least, although gold will be difficult) and Women's doubles 1 Fencing : In men's sabre and Women's epee if not successful in gold 3 Judo : Men's 81kg (Lee, WR#3), Men's +100kg (Kim, WR#1, although there is Liner), Women's -57kg (Huh, WR#3) and Women's +78kg (Kim, WR#4) all have realistic chance of being top 4 and get medal 2 Taekwondo : Men's 58kg (Park Tae Joon WR#5 --but no #4 in olympic--) Men's 80kg (Seo Geon-Woo WR#4) and Women's +67kg (Lee Da-Bin WR#3) all have good chance for medal 1~2 Shooting : We had good record in 2024 ISSF world cup totally. Hopefully we could get additional medal also in Men's pistol or Mixed games. 1~2 Swimming : We have three freestyle player/team having 4th record in last 1 year. At least one medal for Hwang Sun-Woo (Men FS 200) Kim Woo Min (Men FS 400) and Men FS 200x4 team. 1 Table tennis : Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin (Mixed doubles, #3), behind china #1 and rivalry between #2 Japan #3 Korea 1 Weightlifting : Park Hye-Jeong (Women's +81kg). strong silver medal candidate Possible other medal chances (additional 2~3 medals?) 1 Athletics : Woo Sang-Hyuk (Men's High jump) 1 Artistic gymnastics : Yeo Seo-Jeong (Women's vault) (Tokyo Olympic #3 & 23 WCh #3), of course after Biles and Andrade 1 Pentathlon : Jeon Woong-tae (Men) 1 Golf (Women) : Ko Jin-Young (Women#3) . Actually having 3 players in <WR#15, only USA and korea 1 Breaking (Men) : Hong10 won olympic qualification in #2, and was also silver medalist in Asian game right after Japan's flagbearer Shigekix. 1 Sports climbing (Combined men) : Lee Do-Hyeon in Olympic qualification #1 (Men's combined) and Seo Chae-Hyun in olympic qualification #2. Although almost all medal candidates were not in that qualification. 1 Fencing individuals : Oh sang-Wook (WR#4 in Sabre Men) and Song Se-ra (WR#7 in Epee Women) 1~2 Table tennis team games : #5 in Men, #3 in Women's team rankings. 1~2 additional shooting
  9. However this is the last game with equestrian, isn't it?
  10. In Tennis men's singles, Sun-Woo Kwon (South Korea / Republic of Korea) retracted because of recent injury. 141->140 (With no tennis player)
  11. Han-Sol Kim, who was the 8th player of Men's floor (Artistic gymnastics) in 2020 olympic and 2 time asian game winner in men's floor, got injured few days ago, missing the chance of getting NOC individual quota. He was replaced by Hur woong. who was at the 2nd place in Cairo world cup, Pommel horse
  12. Rankings for seeding (July 16) is on ITTF page final draw will be based on this ranking Men's singles 1 seed Wang ( ) 2 seed Pan ( ) 3-4 seed Lebron( ) & Calderano ( ) 5-8 seed Lin () Harimoto () Dang ( ) and Jang ( ) ... Women's singles 1 seed Sun ( ) 2 seed Chen ( ) 3-4 seed Hayata ( ) & Shin ( ) 5-8 seed Szocs( ), Diaz( ), Cheng() and Hirano() Mixed doubles 1. Wang / Sun 2. Harimoto / Hayata 3-4. Shin / Lim. Doo/Wong 5-8. Team Men 1. 2. 3-4. 5-8. Team Women 1. 2. 3-4. 5-8.
  13. Gracenote has big Error in Taekwondo too.... Korea only send 4 players, but expected to get 5 medals haha...
  14. Group D in men's doubles have 4 teams that could be top 8. Other 12 teams would be quite happy.
  15. Drawing rule for BWF is weird.. cannot understand why they do like this.
  16. Women's single The only one to see in 1st round would be Tai vs Intanon, as Tai Tzu-Ying has suffered from injury, and Intanon is the strongest among non-seeded players. An have to win Akane and Tai Tzu Ying, while Chen need to win He or Sindhu , and Marin. Both of them are tough but An made worse draw. Women's doubles Group A absorbed most of the strong non-seeded players. Liu-Tan, Matsuyama-Shida, and Baek-Lee would easily go to round of 8. Kim-Kong and Kititharakul-Prajongjai would make it either. For Group A, China and Japan have most chances.. but I think there could be some upset. Mixed doubles Bad for Group C. Not easy to get 2nd place in both group A and D, but good draw for two chinese teams. Group B has two strong teams that could secure round of 8. Who to become the 1st place in Group B would be interesting, as well as every match in group C
  17. Okay you maybe right, and I don't want to offend you. I Just Want to know the rule.. anyway.
  18. We have to wake up until 4 AM to see all medal events and there are no football or baseball(actually not held after this olympic) team in Paris, which is the most popular team sports here in Korea, so the interest is lower than before. Hope we could get medal early, to get interest
  19. For El-Bouchti https://worldtkd.simplycompete.com/playerProfileV2?countryId=null&searchQuery=null&month=6&year=2024&subCategory1=11ea9376-4530-2b19-aefb-0af9674366aa&rankingTypeId=11ea9376-1b54-af01-aefb-0af9674366aa&userId=11e6eef4-48d9-4c48-92b4-12f817a4f090 If you see her profile in 2024 June ranking, she also have ranking of 49kg #43 World Kyorugi ranking point. I think she could also be counted into 49 olympic ranking based on this data, although this would be lower than her original January ranking..
  20. Of course I also thinks that top seed for Laurin is reasonable, but I maybe saw here that Laurin used home quota so she ll be 4 seeded. Do you have some related reference? Thanks
