  1. McMorris and Boutin are great examples of overcoming adversity, and would be my top choices. Gough would be a cool choice too.
  2. With the hockey and 2 short track medals, we are up to 24!
  3. You just know the judges were looking for any reason to advance Choi lol
  4. Punch in the gut. Hopefully Canadians will actually talk about some other sports that we won gold in these Olympics instead of the same old Curling and Hockey
  5. Porteous according to his FIS profile, had only competed in 5 world cups with the best finish of 10th, and 2017 world champs where he was 12th
  6. Canada goes 1-2-3 in seeding runs, which means I'll be happy with any medal lol, rarely do things go to plan in the most major of Snowboard/Ski cross events
  7. ZSS is only 16 as well, NZ has a good one for the future, gonna battle with the Japanese girls for years to come
  8. It's standard for Big Air, there has to be two different tricks. If someone for example does one trick on run 1, a different trick on run 2, and the same trick on run 3, the highest scored of the same tricks will count along with different trick. If 3 different tricks, it's still the highest 2 scored
  9. Anderson is in the lead, it's your best two jumps combined
  10. They won Canadian trials (often considered harder than worlds or olympics) but just had a lot of shot calling blunders. In addition to the incident against Denmark when a bunch of people were upset with Homan If there's one good thing about this, team Homan should be more motivated than ever before to make it back to the Olympics for redemption. And also that Canada has helped grow the game elsewhere, most of the women's teams here have Canadian coaches
  11. All of these Canadian players (or vast majority) were former NHL players that were mostly journeymen near the end of their career or not quite good enough for NHL
  12. So this is the part where I'm supposed to mumble about losing a "safe" gold right?
  13. We'll take it at this point, I'd imagine Humphries will probably retire soon? It's her 4th Olympics.
  14. CBC commentator Justin Wadsworth (former American olympian and former Canadian coach) gave that victory to Kikkan Randall more than Diggins just for being able to hang with Bjorgen and Kalla
  15. First ever women's olympic medal in Cross Country Skiing for the US
  16. https://www.isu.org/news-inside-isu/135-owg-short-track-news/11978-ladies-3000m-team-relay?templateParam=15 ISU released images of what the judges were looking at
  17. Sweden vs winner of GB vs Switzerland Canada vs USA
  18. Well our chances have gone up with Brady Leman's gold in Ski Cross! 3 men and 2 women are in the finals of the snowboard big air, we guaranteed a medal in women's hockey, Kaetlyn Osmond is in 3rd after the short program. If Humphries can sneak a bronze it would be even better, try and salvage this Olympics for her. The 4man crews have done decent in training so far so maybe one of them are in with a chance of a medal too. With 3 short track medal events left there are still chances there too.
  19. Finally a medal in this event! Del Bosco 4th in Vancouver, Leman 4th in Sochi. I hope Leman gets a medal this time
  20. Delbosco is reported to have a pelvic injury, he's stable
