  1. The plan is to get rid of that in three years, so next year there are three relegations, two by average and one by the season points, the next year is 1 and 2, and the next one already the three just like every other league. But they will probably change it all again before that.
  2. Titmus says Li Bingjie breaking her WR gives her extra motivation and fire in her belly to take it back. But she won't race in worlds as her next big meet is trials next year
  3. 7:57.42 and new WR for Ledecky in the 800 FR. She fell off in the last 400, but still got it. Not an unreachable mark like in the 1500, it may be broken in the future. McIntosh did a great time for an off event for her.
  4. To the surprise of no one, Katie Ledecky races for the first time in her life a 1500 FR short course and breaks the WR by 10 seconds. And barely kicking at all
  5. Even with Katie being better in the turns Summer still beat her and with that time. That girl is really special. Don't know which events is swimming Ledecky on saturday, but with this form she should focus on the 1500 and try to get a WR.
  6. Swimming Olympic champion Pernille Blume announces retirement at 28yo
  7. Yeah, but that swim converts to a big sub 4m in LC (a 3.57 high), which is something she hasn't done yet. Li has alwasy been a bit inconsistent, so if she can pull this in LC next year the 400m race in Paris will be one for the ages.
  8. Interested in what Haughey can do in the sprints. She is coming from altitude training and after so much time out of the competitions she is due something big.
  9. There are users here with more knowledge of doping but that doesn't seem a substance where you can allege contamination, right? Don't know what she can say in her defense.
  10. The 400 I don't know, it will depend on her form. But it could be a good fight with McIntosh, even if Summer is still raw in terms of turns (a big part of the difference Katie made in Budapest IMO). Titmus is weird. She has barely raced this year and broke a WR. She stayed in Europe after CG and took a break from training, so that could be a reason. But she could show up in SC worlds with minimum training and still collect medals. I think is more about mental health and also she is also too "Olympic" oriented. I mean, she skipped Worlds this year to avoid the pressure of a clash with Ledecky thinking already in being fresh for Paris.
  11. Ledecky swimming SCM in Toronto and Indianapolis is a nice surprise. The only time she did it was the ISL in 2019 and there wasn't 800 and 1500 races there. So the WR should be on alert if she is on a decent form.
  12. She apologised. I think it's just reflex action, will do it less in the future after she starts to handle it I guess.
  13. This start of the season is so weird. The Bucs lost against the Trubisky led Steelers... Like WTF. Bills won the clash against Chiefs, but they'll probably meet again in the playoffs. The Eagles are the only unbeaten at this point, but I think they'll fade like the Cardinals last year.
  14. Qué piola las medallas en atletismo. Hay que ver el nivel de la competencia, pero sacando alguna excepción como Ruggeri o Cassetta en su momento no recuerdo la última vez que fuimos a Panamericanos con expectativas en varias pruebas de pista.
  15. Krejcikova with the upset of the week, breaks Swiatek's 21 consecutive sets won in finals and wins the title in Ostrava in a 3h16m crazy battle. Iga cried a lot in the end but didn't understand a thing she said cause she talked in polish
  16. 90th ATP title for Djokovic and qualified for ATP Finals. Tsitsipas now 0-9 in ATP 500 finals and lost the last 7 matches against Novak.
  17. What a collapse from the Packers in London. The defense struggled all the match and the offense couldn't convert anything in the second half. Would have been fun to see the hail mary try in the end.
  19. Swimming and athletics are my main sports to follow in multi sports games so gotta say the calendar for this one is pretty weird to me. Don't get why they put all the swimming events in the first four days and all the athletics ones in the last four.
  20. Next time Mahuchikh and Lasitskene meet in a competition (if they ever do again) it'll be fun https://champion.com.ua/others/2022/10/07/912208/mahuchikh-pislya-chs-lasitskene-napysala-meni-ta-herashchenko
  21. That final play reminded me of the unforgettable Butler interception in the SuperBowl. Just run the ball
  22. Time for Paula to make a comeback
