  1. Sheremet with back-to-back Paralympic 4th’s in women’s PR1 single sculls Damn, that’s heartbreaking.
  2. Women’s goalball team ties South Korea 0-0. Up next, the quarterfinals!
  3. Aurelie Rivard through to the women’s 100m freestyle S10 final!

  6. Triathlon postponed. Lowkey I’m a little bit mad, I could’ve gotten an extra 45 minutes of sleep but nope.
  7. exceeded expectations in pretty much all events, besides Julia Tunks who could only muster up a 52m throw in the women’s discus throw final after being ranked #2 in the world and finishing just a couple of spots outside of qualifying for the Paris Olympics. Dianna Proctor, who won silver in the women’s 400m and ran the 2nd leg of the 4x100m relay that won bronze will definitely be a name that I’ll keep my eye out for in the upcoming years, and so too Rachel Forsyth in the women’s 1500m (silver in the 1500m) John O’Reily (men’s 800m, 4th) and Asia Phillips (women’s triple jump, 4th) are other performances that really stood out to me, but so many of our athletes improved on their seeding.
  8. Gabriel Diallo (somewhat) saves an otherworldly disastrous US Open for Canadian tennis players, as he exits in the 3rd round to Paul in his first grand slam main draw appearance. Felix Auger-Aliassime, Bianca Andresscu, Leylah Fernandez, and Denis Shapovalov all out in the 1st round (as usual it seems…)
  9. Triple jump isn’t fully dead? I mean we had Praise Aniamaka jumping 16.49m this year, but other than that…
  10. Is Haya Jumaa still competing?
  11. It could go either way in that match to be honest.
  12. Thank god this day has finally come to an end Hopefully has used up their bad day at the Paralympics today, and better things are to come.
  13. Women’s sitting volleyball team loses 3-1, and will likely get the tougher semifinal against China. Glad this day has finally come to an end, even with two silvers, a win in women’s wheelchair basketball, and a Mel Pemble C3 WR it’s been a nightmare.
  14. Amanda Rummery finishes 5th, just off her PB. Really fast race, can’t be too mad at that.
  15. Women’s sitting volleyball team isn’t performing to the level I know they’re capable of either. Sigh.
  16. Alison Levine leads 2-0 over Chica Chica after 2 ends of the women’s BC4 quarterfinals. Missed opportunity to score multiple after Levine had the last 3 shots of the end, it is what it is though.
  17. Lakatos flopped No medal for him. Terrible day at the Paralympics for Canada, with Pemble, Dorris, and Ouellet failing too.
  18. Silver for Tess Routliffe in women’s 200m individual medley SM7.
  19. Basiloff outkicks Trusov for gold in men’s 200m individual medley SM7
  20. Odigie/Kok lost in 3 to Rayner/Zajer (was watching, I’m pretty sure they had an 11-8 lead in set 3 at one point?) at the Beach Volleyball U20 Championships to finish joint 9th.
  21. Wheelchair rugby team loses to Japan and have been eliminated from Paralympic medal contention. Had to win by 4.
  22. Esmee Bobner (beach volleyball) https://www.instagram.com/p/C_VxV5qt50v/?igsh=MTJmOTZpeXJkeTFmdw==
  23. Iulian Ciobanu defeats McGuire 4-2 in men’s BC4 boccia pool play, finishing 2-1 but misses out on a spot in the quarterfinals on a tiebreaker.
