  1. Thanks I follow the event over the livestream. High jump is after all one of my favourite disciplines in athletics. (Mostly due to being a former high jumper myself in my youth.)
  2. Bestmen didn't want to make an intro for you, so I thought this was a nice way to welcome you and Israel in TISC.
  3. Isn't the easy solution just to sign out and never sign in again? Or you could write "mashed potatoes" under favourite sports.
  4. Thanks for taking the time to answers some questions, @Werloc
  5. So has bestmen ever been in a hosting draw or is this the first time? Earlier you wrote that you wished that a vote had been held about bestmen's eligibility to host, would this also apply to all future hosts? Or would you suggest that one or more former participants could politely request a vote on a host's right to host a TISC?
  6. I do understand why some users have chosen not to participate this time. As someone who is quite new when it comes to TISC, I'm curious to know how you have solved the issue of hosting rights beforehand? Did you have some sort of vote on a host's eligibility to host based on his/her previous behaviour in TISC? Has no other previous hosting applicant shown any bad behaviour?
  7. @RobtheAggie and others. This is a good source to see the teams for the WCHs: https://www.oasport.it/2020/02/biathlon-mondiali-anterselva-2020-tutti-i-convocati-minuto-per-minuto-nazione-per-nazione/
  8. Update - Week 6 - February 3 to February 9 - 2020 Men's High Jump +1 https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/great-britain-ni/tom-gale-311989 Men's Pole Vault +1 https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/great-britain-ni/harry-coppell-276107 Men's Discus Throw +1 https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/jamaica/chad-wright-254190 Women's 1500m +1 https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/kenya/beatrice-chepkoech-293209 Women's Triple Jump +1 https://www.worldathletics.org/athletes/commonwealth-of-dominica/thea-lafond-263493 Qualified Quotas Overview Men (Total Quota: 472) Women (Total Quota: 461) A few comments about this week's update: Thea Lafond becomes the small island nation's first athlete to qualify for Tokyo. Harry Coppell jump of 5.80m in Rouen is not listed on WA's season lists. It's marked with an "UNC". I'm not sure what this remark means? However, British Athletics mention it as an Olympic standard, so I will include him on my list: https://www.britishathletics.org.uk/news-and-features/weekend-update-10-02-2020/ Lastly, as you can see, I still include Russian athletes in my updates and list. Currently WA doens't give ANA-status to any Russian athletes. If WA again begins to give ANA-status to some Russian athletes, it's not certain any former performances under flag will count. This could mean Morgunov would have to achieve the Olympic standard again to qualify. Nevertheless, I will continue to include any Russian athlete who achieves the Olympic standard in my updates and list. Bear in mind, my list of qualified athletes it's not a perfect resemblance of the final start lists for Tokyo.
  9. I wonder if @Janakis and will once again be one of the last nations to submit their song, as he hasn't been online since January 2nd? @Ashton has also not been online since January 5th, so I wonder if will submit a song before the deadline? I remotely remember @Dolby might have shown an interest to participate, but I'm not sure about it?
  10. I have a feeling you might hope to see her on the podium next year in January?
  11. Maybe it would work. Otherwise, as I have just written in the post, those with a Spotify account or Facebook account should be able to listen to the song.
  12. @bestmen Are you able to listen to the song now? I know it would be best option if it was a video, but there are not really any other studio versions of the song on Youtube.
  13. DANISH ENTRY The Danish Jury is glad to announce the young music duo, Barselona, with their song, "Bankende Hjerter", will represent Denmark in TAISC 2020. "Bankende Hjerter" , "Beating Hearts" in English, is a tribute to friendship - to those who are there to help when life hits you hard, as the duo have described themselves. For those who can't watch the video, you can (hopefully) listen to the song here. : https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7oZ5asBDqCYsf14Fy0c6ni If you have a Spotify account or Facebook account, you should be able to listen to the song.

  15. 89% for Sanders and Warren. Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Delaney are right after with 88-86%. I think Trump have to do a lot of campaigning to convince me. 15% is still 5% more than I expected.
  16. Not that surprised at the result. It's interesting to see that the majority of the candidates thinks prisoners should only be able to vote after their release.
  17. It has been confirmed. The B-sample was also positive. Fransson will no longer be part of the Swedish Olympic team. Additionally, she will no longer be part of the Swedish sports support program "Top and Talent". https://sok.se/pressmeddelanden/2020-02-07-doping-bekraftat---jenny-fransson-plockas-bort-ur-os-truppen.html

  23. From what I can see, gets the quota in 49er, as has already won a quota. I think the quota in 49erFX and Nacra 17 will be reallocated to (49erFX) and (Nacra 17) from the 2019 World Championships, as and have already won quotas and they are the only nations from Oceania competing.
