  1. Damn it! I'm starting to fear we won't have any prediction contests in the next month or so...

  4. "The World Athletics Council today fined the Russian Athletics Federation $10 million for breaching the sport’s Anti-Doping Rules, and, while reinstating the Authorised Neutral Athlete process for Russian athletes, has capped at 10 the number of Authorised Neutral Athletes (ANA) allowed to compete in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and other specified World Athletics and European Athletics senior events. There is no restriction on the number of ANA athletes that can compete in international one-day events around the world, once they have been granted ANA status by World Athletics Doping Review Board. However, the ANA process will be suspended if $5 million of the $10m fine is not paid by 1 July 2020. The remaining $5 million of the fine will be suspended for two years, to be paid immediately if during that period RusAF commits a further breach of the Anti-Doping Rules or fails to make meaningful progress towards satisfying the reinstatement conditions set by Council. The ANA application process remains broadly the same, with strengthened criteria to be issued by the Doping Review Board on behalf of Council within the next week". https://www.worldathletics.org/news/press-releases/world-athletics-sanctions-rusaf-breach-anti-d
  5. On a press conference, the Finnish Government has recommended all public events with more than 500 spectators should be cancelled until the end of May. Notice, it's only a recommendation! However, this could affect the WC stage in Kontiolahti.
  6. The last stage of the biathlon WC in Oslo has been cancelled. https://holmenkollenskifestival.no/biathlon/ibu-bmw-world-cup-biathlon-in-holmenkollen-cancelled/

  10. And the season is over...
  11. I'm looking forward to TWU #10, where we will have @Olympian1010 reading a VERY long list of postponed and cancelled events and @Vojthas will have to sit silently for a very long time. I feel sorry for both of them.
  12. The Danish Jury has sent its votes to the host. This year there was a clear number 1. 2-4 were also quickly decided. 5-9 switched places many times, but in the end the jury is satisfied how the final order was sorted. 10-12 + reserves. This was absolute the hardest part of the ranking process! Up 9 songs fought for the last spots! It is the overall impression of the Danish jury that this edition was one of the most difficult selection processes to this date. As many other users have already expressed, the musical quality of this edition is very high. Now the Danish jury will look forward to rest of this edition. Drink some good Croatian wine and loads of rakija. Živjeli, folks!

  16. Due to the spreading of COVID-19, the Norwegian cross-country ski committee has decided that no Norwegian skiers will be send to the last World Cups in North America. With that, I think Bolshunov has secured the Overall WC title. https://www.nrk.no/sport/norge-ofrer-klaebos-verdenscuptittel-for-korona-sikkerhet-1.14937875
  17. That is sad to hear. Hopefully you will like some of the entries that the Danish Jury chooses for its top 12? I also hope this is not the first step for the Danish Jury to end up like "Alternativet"?

  21. Thanks By studying abroad, I hope my chance of working in a European or International organisation increases. The dream at the moment is to work at an embassy in a Balkan country.
  22. No job at the moment. I'm hopefully going to finish my BSc in Political Science in June. The plan afterwards is to study a 1-year Master's programme at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. I have applied for a Master's in Police Analysis and Public Administration and a Master's in Political Theory. Hopefully I will be accepted into one of them.
  23. Well there is the Japan National Championships in 50km Race Walk in Wajima, April 12th: https://www.jaaf.or.jp/competition/detail/1436/ (I can't find the information document in English, so I hope someone in Slovakia can translate it.) It should be open for international athletes from what I can see from last year's results: http://www.marciadalmondo.com/admin/pdf/risultati/14042019152Wajima50km_Res.pdf However, I'm not sure if Slovaks are allowed to travel to Japan at the moment? Probably an easier option is the World Athletics Race Walking Team Championships May 3rd: https://www.worldathletics.org/Competitions/world-athletics-race-walking-team-championshi Edit: @Jur has mention it.
