Wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt will have to wait to know whether his bronze medal from the 2012 Olympics is upgraded to silver till the time his sample is cleared by the WADA.

This is obviously for the record books as Yogeshwar has shown nice gestures by allowing the deceased's family to keep the silver medal with them.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan lived up to his promise of paying Rs 1.01 lakh to all the participants of Rio Olympic Games and has requested the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to send him details of the athletes.

After personal bests in Rio , Marathon runners Kheta Ram , T Gopi and Rawat have targeted to break the national records because they feel this is the only way to garner public attention and revive long distance running in India which is considered less glamorous compared to the short distance sprints

If we don't even spend a million $  in players from where we would get quality players. We have to get some non famous players at these rates. The good would be ready atleast at $2-3 Million...then only we can raise our level.

We have broken the $1m barrier this season with the signing of Apoula Edel for $1.1m by Pune City and Romaric for $1.1m by North-East United ....

    • The Games haven't began and there is already drama around the hosts. Looks like there is some saga around the selection of Rebecca Mariani to the team, who is the daughter of the technical director from what i saw.

The athlete participated in the women -63 kg weightlifting event at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and finished 7th. Rafael Augusto Buzacarini, Brazilian judoka, provided a sample on 9 August 2016 which, after re-analysis, returned an AAF for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone metabolite. The athlete participated in the men -100 kg judo event and finished 9th. Soslan Daurov, Belarussian wrestler, provided a sample on 12 August 2016 which, after re-analysis, returned an AAF for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone metabolite. The athlete participated in the men -59 kg greco-romain wrestling event and placed 15th.
