I think unknowingly good happened for India in the ranking rounds. They got a need to buck up and avoided Koreans

personally Russian women team is extremely difficult to beat but yes I do believe avoiding korean half was good.................deepika once she realised she was reaching 1st position just crumbled .................. but yes maybe that will the needed GPL for the Indian team to get a move on ...

they will have a easier round against colombia to get their eye....actually I think this format in team recurve is really ridiculous..... the teams which finish 2,3,4th ( I leave out the incredible koreans ) .....have I believe a decided disadvantage when it comes to the team round ...... the teams in the lower side get an extra round to get their eye in check the day conditions and later in the day get to play the teams ranked 2/3/4 who come in without a chance to get their hand in ............this is a decided handicap to these teams look at the last 2 olympics

koreans (1) - well that cannot change ........................... then in 2012 teams ranked 7th and 5th finished with silver and bronze , then in the 2008 olympics 6th and 12th finished with silver and bronze ...so I am happy in a way we did not get 2 /3/4 as we will not get a chance to get an eye in then 5/6th positions are in the korean half so not a good idea .... we are left with 7th as the ideal position ........lo and behold india is there ........ so by luck they finished well ......

I personally was shocked by deepikas meltdown ...a 5 / a Miss .....you cannot do this at this level ...and she is the best of our archers ..... and to do this after leading the three koreans was terrible .......bombayla was incredible and did as well as she could have I believe , again lakshirani has a great reputation but today she was under par hope she can hold it together

    • sure! in every Italian bedroom you normally have every kind of table, chairs, furniture, tv screen  to me, this really look an unfinished room, you normally don't see such a sad place even when you buy a new house
    • Canoe Sprint There is a now a cap of 5 athletes per gender in the kayak events (down from 6 in 2024). The World Championships has been replaced by the Olympic Qualification Rankings.   K2 lost 2 boat quotas while K4 has gained 1 boat quota. Quota distribution is quite complicated as it usually is for canoe sprint. They also force nations to compete in a minimum number of events based on the number of athletes qualified; 2 and 3 athletes per boat class must compete in 2 events, 4 must compete in all 3 events and 5 must compete in all 3 events and have two entries in the K1 event.
    • Wrestling will have a completely new format, I do not like the changes. ranking isn't really a good idea in this sport, this will force wrestlers to compete in so many events to collect points. which is not good for their health. specially with the current UWW ranking points distribution system which is plain stupid   they are also gifting 18 quotas to very weak countries by that last qualification event. but I understand their point of view. can't wait to see lots of Russian wrestlers compete for weak countries for that 1 available quota.
    • Canoe Slalom Quotas from men's/women's K1 have been moved to men's/women's KX1. K1 will now have 14 quotas while KX1 will have 10 quotas. C1 remains at 17 quotas. Athletes may participate in other events up to a maximum of 2 athletes per NOC.   The World Championship qualifier has been dropped in favour of the Olympic Qualification Rankings (7 K1, 10 C1, 3 KX1), afterwards you have the Continental Qualifiers (1 per boat) and then a new Global Qualifier (2 per boat).   There were a few changes regarding ways to ensure an athlete can only obtain 1 quota. The biggest being at each stage the boat priority is K1 > KX1 > C1 for the rankings and KX1 > K1 > C1 for the continental/global qualifiers. This basically means if the same athlete qualifiers in multiple boats then the quota will be given to the kayak over canoe.
    • I'll post significant changes periodically. I'll start with the recently added/updated documents.   Archery The addition of mixed compound (12M & 12W) forced a reduction on the recurve side. The mixed compound quotas are distributed as follows   Host - 1 World Championships - 3 Continental Games - 5 World Ranking List - 2 Final Qualifier - 1   To compensate the team events will now only have 8 nations. 2 quotas were removed from the World Ranking List and 2 were removed from the Final Qualifier.   Individual recurve and mixed recurve distribution is the same
