We qualify in Table tennis mixed doubles beating the world no 5 pair, this is huge.

This is indeed huge...We will have largest TT contingent ever with 2 MS, 2 WS with 1 XD.

Which event is Hima really concentrating? 100,200 or 400m is the big question. Looking at the events she is not aiming this Olympics n looking for sprint for next. Maybe only XD relay in this Olympics.

Hima has a back injury which aggravates when she is competing in 400m, she is trying for 200m in Olympics

That means she would be a sprinter in future and XD relay 4x400m at Olympics team would be having a different athlete. Now our team is really weak with no Hima and Anas too not in good shape.

Otherwise also it's a very very weak team. I read a article about the women's coach she said all athletes are close to family and they havent met them for a very very long time. So they are mentally down and not motivated.

Look back at the Performances at National Federation Cup 2021

Men's performance

100m - Gurindervir Singh at 10.30s is very close to NR. Seen a sprinter after Amiya who could take forward the sprint to new levels. Hope we could see a sprinter with sub 10.00s soon.

400m - Amoj Jacob doing a good run at 45.68s Hope Anas regains the form and together with Amoj form a formidable XD relay team.

3000mSC - Avinsh once again improves his own NR. Hope does well and reaches finals of Olympics event.

LJ - Sreeshankar after many 8.00mts did a 8.26mts to qualify for Olympics hope he can get atleast to 8.35m till Olympics.

SP - Tajinder with 20.58m is slowly gaining pace and hope can have 21.00m throw sooner to move into Olympics.

HT - Gurmeet with 69.97m is showing little promise seen a good thrower after sometime.

JT - Neeraj is shaping well and hope for a good fight in Olympics. Hope to see him throw a 90.00m that would be like the moment of athletics history for India.

Amoj and Anas can be from Men's side but who would be from women's side. We have 3 more months to get it right. At present it looks highly difficult to have good women runners.

I'm expecting a athlete or two to come from nowhere to qualify in individual and then relay. Vismaya may be one of the athletes. Povamma is getting slower and shifting to 800m. Maybe Hima can still be in team in 4 months time if injury goes away.
