Switzerland won and is the last 4th qualified for the quarterfinals from Group A ...

Another extremely disappointing competition for Slovakia, the drought now expand to 5 years :(

Unbelievable how we threw away everything from our own hands..like a bunch of retards, total idiots...the last 9 seconds of the match vs CZE...:wall:

or the hard luck with the own goal in overtime with SWE or yesterdays total lapse failure in 1st period against RUS.....if we took at least 2 more points (which was doable in all 3 cases) from any of these matches...we would be celebrating now ...

but especially the bummer vs SUI

cost us the quarterfinals...

Switzerland is the easiest opponent in the Group A when compared to the Czechs, Russians & Swedes. But i think it's going to be a sweaty match for us

    • That was known from the start for  and will be planned for.   Sadly just the reality of sports in North America. Canada and the US are both huge, a flight from Vancouver to Halifax or from Seattle to Miami is north of five hours. Every sports league in North America has to deal with this kind of travel logistics on the regular, so none of this will seem particularly unusual to a North American player.
    • That’s not a long distance, it’s barely a 2h flight and there is no difference in timezone. Easily doable for fans as well.
