    • Langaro and Montes' performance was disappointing. Pathetic to be exact.   The rest of the team did what they could. In any case, no work starts at the top.
    • Stage 23 in Schladming (AUT)   Men´s Giant Slalom:   1. Alexander Steen Olsen    1:42.75 2. Henrik Kristoffersen    1:43.14 3. Marco Odermatt    1:43.35   Full Final Results HERE
    • Considering our best players were completely blocked by Denmark, I think it was a good first half.    12-15  HT
    • There must be something rotten in the NOC, with all these athletes retiring earlier than expected right before the Olympics (and also Braathen taking a year off to switch to )   Edit: also means that Riiber will retire without an Olympic gold, which just doesn't feel right at all :<
    • This is written based on criteria applied to all National Olympic Committees (NOCs) with at least one male or female athlete who has a minimum FIS point of less than 120 for slalom (SL) and giant slalom (GS), or less than 80 for other events
    • It's a shame, because the rest of the team has a lot of quality. Yesterday, I haven't seen France play such an uncreative game in a long time. The plays were always the same, through the center, but it seemed like the goalkeeper was always caught off guard. With a good goalkeeper, you could have easily won the match.
    • Jarl Magnus Riiber announced that he will retire at the end of the season
    • Epp Mae Women 76 kg Wrestler announced retirement. 1 silver and 3 bronze in world championships.
    • This is a very good question, and the simple answer is ..YES ..they always like that and even the old GK legends (Elrouby, Elnakeeb, Ayman Salah..etc) they were below average worldwide (locally they were the greatest) … the main question is …why? I am an ex-handball GK in Egypt and later played also in England for Reading Lions handball club, so what I am going to say about Egyptian GKs are not speculations but that was our real life and still.   Why I was a GK ..simply because I was left wing number 3 in the team, and by luck during some cooling break I was playing shot out with friend and saved all, then the coach decided to keep me in goal for this training session ..then forever. You are not good enough as a player, you are very slow, you are very fat, you are not talented those are the main reasons in why a person becomes handball GK.  Since I was 8 till 23 yrs old when I stopped playing  in  for work reasons I (we) never ever had a specialised GK coach!! ..even the special training to improve our skills was usually ruined by players when the coach is focusing how they are not scoring more than focus on our movements and style. Handball GKs usually memorised the players, those players I am playing with them in the training or even the opponents I see them 4-5 times every season, I perfectly memorise their movements and shots, but that shouldn’t be your normal style, you should have plans for unknown players, how to block the angles, how to synchronise with the block to get one side and to let them block the other side, when you block the close angle and leave the wide one and vice versa. When I was in England (which is not a strong or even average team), all GKs went to GK workshop with whom?? Omeyer ..the legend French handball GK .. I was listening to some advices which I never heard about in my life. Where was that when I was young and able to improve, unfortunately nothing.   Sorry for talking to much but I am really disappointed and I know    will never win a major title or medal without a good GK ..imagine if Egypt in Olympics or last 3 Wch has Landin or De Vargas or Wolff …at least would  be on the podium couple of times.
