LA28 Tickets, Trips & Experiences Road to LA 2028

Based on what I've read, presale availability for LA residents is now sparse (at least for the cheap tickets). But that said, if you had your pick, the sessions I'd have my eye on would be the ones where Ledecky will be swimming (SWM07 25th a.m. 1500 Heats, SWM10 26th p.m. 1500 F, SWM15 29th a.m. 800 H, SWM17 30th p.m. 800 F)), simply to say you got to see her swim.

My second choice would be the M 100m free heats (SWM11 on the 27th a.m.) because there are so many nations that participate. Would be cool to say you saw athletes from so many pockets of the world.

But just depends on what you want (and/or what's available slash what you're willing/able to pay).

I singled out 3 sessions I'm interested in for swimming.  3 for track, and I guess we will see what will be available tomorrow.   I have some other stuff I'm most interested in, 25 hours remaining

My wife's email came through, and we had a second window today.  We bought 2 tix each for equestrian (dressage final), fencing (final), rugby (womens prelim). archery (mixed team prelim), athletics (morning prelim), and badminton (prelim).  Now we just need a bank loan to feed ourselves in the meantime.  I am sort of glad we had a limit.

I got 3 athletics sessions, ATH04 - 100m Mens Final, ATH15 - 400m Men and Women finals, Women 200m Final, Hepthathlon final and Womens long jump. And the last athletics session, AT17 - 3 relays

Was looking for a lot more, hopefully will be available in the future

How expensive were athletics morning session & fencing finals?

We got the cheapest available fencing final tickets and those were $376.  The athletics morning session was $220, and I am pretty sure we got the cheapest available.  Mind you, there were other ticket prices below these but they are always the first to go.

So, all in all we did ok, given the constraints of both budget and access.  We definitely got lucky in some cases.   Eleven sessions, including four medal sessions.  I don't know that we will keep all of them, or maybe get even more, once the secondary market opens, but we sure have a lot to look forward to.

Glad y'all were able to get some things!  Tomorrow should be when we find out if we got a slot.  Here's hoping!

I'm assuming once second-hand market comes available that we won't be limited to the number of tickets?  (Not that I think we'll be able to afford more, but just curious.)

Good luck tomorrow (or in the days ahead).   It will be very interesting to see how many new tickets will be released.  There HAS to be additional seats available.

As for the secondary market, it's a great question but i don't see why they would restrict somebody at that point.

By the way, although people around here did get the "sorry, you're out" emails, they all came the first day.  Everybody who signed up, and did not get that bad email the first day, eventually got in.

I was able to log in and see that I do have a slot...but it's not until next Wednesday the 15th...  Based on how things went this week, I'm not too hopeful for getting cheap tickets.  I need to see if wifey has an earlier slot.

Edit: Hers starts this coming Friday the 10th, and miraculously it's exactly when I have free time at work.  Much better odds! :)
