:GBR Weston wins with a superb second run.  :cheer:

Very chuffed, I am sure :KOR:GER:CHN have all had way more practice runs than he has this last few weeks.

Any idea why Weston's start is about 2 tenths slower than last year? Injury issues?

Yeah, see the BBC interview.  Coming off a hamstring in the summer.

Matt Weston wins 10th World Cup skeleton gold in Italy - BBC Sport

:GBR women's team don't do quite so well, but no reason to despair yet.  As ever, starts are excellent, drives are patchy. :GER the opposite - average starting but great driving.   But everyone with a long way to go.

Glad to see Mystique Ro could come back after that first run to have a good try in Mixed Team.  5th for US.

Post 2 updated with full results.

Just noticed we have no :CAN men competing today.....used to be a power.  Money must be tight.

North american cup incorporating Pan American Champs are running at same weekend, I think.

Looks like Weston, if he gets fit, might be a very good bet indeed on this track. Stoeker was very good in the team later on, and Wyatt upped his level.

Yeah, there is a pathway to Olympic Q just through that without doing the World Cup, I think.

The second stage of the 2025/26 Skeleton World Cup in Innsbruck, Austria, has been canceled, according to an announcement on the website of the International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF).

The competition was scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28. However, at the beginning of the week, on Monday, the organizers canceled the first training session due to “inadequate preparation of the track over the past weekend.”The IBSF adds that it has brought in an additional team of specialists, but the next training runs could not take place until Wednesday at the earliest.

Four training runs were therefore deemed insufficient to familiarize athletes with the partially reconstructed track.

The decision was made at a meeting of athletes, who voted by a majority (30 to 21) to cancel the competition on November 28.

Yeah, Luge were also due to go there but they did not think it was ready and rearranged for Winterberg.  Obviously the athletes have revolted because IBSF had initially passed it, presumably without consulting the athletes.

Also, room in the Calendar to get make-up races done in the New Year.  Bobsleigh get extra practice, so they are happy.
