3 judges gave the win to red. 2 judges gave the win to blue. It's the number of judges that counts, not if they considered it a clear, big win or a very close one.

Again, how both getting 28 counts as victory for anyone?

Because you need a winner. In professional boxing, it could be a draw, which is always unfortunate, but a valid result. Here it can't, because if it's a draw, nobody can progress to the next round.

So if you're a judge and you have your paper in front of you that says 28-28, you need to choose whoever you think was the winner (separate from whatever the other judges have scored).

I cant express words to show my dissatisfaction with all this charade.

I can only hope that this travesty ends ASAP. Even baseball would be better than this "sport". At least everything is obvious.

because the rule says there is no draw, there must be a decision. Like in fencing you can win by priority (which is a coin flip, 50/50) despite a draw. Or in taekwondo I remember some titles won "by superiority" after a draw, and so on.

Yeah, we get it but it's still a dumb rule when you have 2 judges that do have a clear winner. I mean personal impression of a judge should come into play if it's draw all around, not if it's 2:0 and all 3 judges voting for clearly inferior fighter is a travesty.

If anyone watched the match this was 5:0 match. 9:10, 10:9 and 9:10. And with chinese having deduction point it should've been 27:29 on all scorecards. And I can accept one judge being an exemption, but 3..... Travesty.

My biggest problem with the system is that the 'draw' judges are taking priority over the positive judges. It feels like the other way around is more logical.

If all five judges were to score it a draw (or 3 and the other two were split), then the current system makes more sense. At that point, they have to choose a winner somehow.

Boxing just gets sillier and sillier.

The draw judges aren’t taking priority. They have the same weight. If one of those votes blue instead of red it’s a win for blue

I I think what some are trying to argue is the penalty for a warning should be bigger. That’s a different argument altogether

It's plain stupid.

And what I argue is that it should've been 0:5.

    • Unfortunate, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm looking forward to Thursday evening, when the team captain's meeting is over and we have our very first World Cup start list of the season. Always a cool moment to see who's there and everything
    • Today I unpacked some of the boxes in which we have put my way too many books to move to our house, and I came across these beauty's I hadn't seen for a while     Absolutely recommended, tough to get for a decent price, but they are such an interesting read with lots of very interesting little stories! Still looking for at least 1900, 1904 and 1906, but not really in the right moment to spend money on that now, so the wait goes on
    • Which I guess is part of why unfortunately 'our' first wild card attempt of the season was rejected last week
    • The next chapter in the Krasnobaeva saga is upon us.   Looks like  Armenia have cut ties with her after only a few weeks. A person from their Federation has said, that they won't continue the relationship, because of her unprofessional and rude attitude towards the coaches and other officials. That includes: - having no respect to the coaches and their advise; - training without any motivation; - stops doing the routine and throws objects without any reason; - just lays on the floor and ignores the music.   When this was escalated with her mother, she mentioned that "Elvira has a strong temper and she was the same in Bulgaria and they tolerated her". Which of course is complete BS. If anyone attempted this shit here, they would be thrown out immediately.   And now  are wanting from her mother to return all finances they gave them, which she is refusing, so they will probably sue them. They will also inform other RG Federations about this situation, so they don't hire them.   My 2 cents on this is most likely Krasnobaeva was happy in BG and was forced out by her mother, so now she is sabotaging the move and be done with it.
    • Honestly Ruka is my favourite World Cup event of the whole season. Everybody is there. Later on there is always someone who skips one weekend or another . Not everybody takes part in Tour de ski. But here everyone shows up.
