The water polo team won 8-6 and take eleventh

Cox won her heat in 27.89 and qualifies, while Dawson advances from fifth (28.46)

Richards was second in 48.05 and qualifies

Scott was third in his heat in 1:59.91 and through

Stephens won his heat in 2:09.31

The medley team won their heat in 3:45.50 and advanced

Richards was third in 48.22 and through

Cox was second, 27.55 and through, Dawson was sixth, 28.22 and out

Peaty was fourth 26.77

Stephens was second 2:07.97 and through

Scott won his heat and went through 1:57.83

Relay team was third in 3:45.09 1-3-8

Really wish the High Dive outdoors, like open water swimming, was in the Games - doesn't seem a wildly expensive venue - a Scaffolding, steps, temporary stand and a reasonably deep temporary pool., yet its a fabulous spectacle, and requires relatively few competitors for a proper competition.

In a sign of how relaxed the GB squad have been about these championships, I understand that Matthew Richards was still in heavy training at altitude two weeks ago. 

 

Whilst it is disappointing that he didn't make the podium, 47.82 is still half a second quicker than he was swimming at the same time last year.

      Absolute loyalty is the main criteria for any job in dictatorship. (USA is not but Republican party is fully under Trump's control).    Also, more tragicomic is the situation of Pro-Palestinian people who were angry with Biden-Harris and may have either switched sides or not voted. Trump is gonna have the most Pro-Israel Security Establishment in years.    Edit: I absolutely disagree with the quoted tweet.       as I said so many times in this forum Rostami is a total jerk. he wants to work alone, doesn't participate in trials etc, just simply go to the main events on his own. of course the weightlifting federation said no   therefore he decided to compete for another NOC. but last thing I heard if our WL federation doesn't let him, he needs to wait 1 year before switching nationality. and our WL federation doesn't grant him that permission. so as things stand he won't be allowed to participate in this event (will be eligible next year)
