Swimming federation of India have announced the two universality spots as confirmed by world Aquatics (FINA).

Dhinidhi Desinghu (Female) & Srihari Nataraj (Male) have qualified for Paris Olympics under universality quota.

With these 2 quota places our contingent size now rises to 102 athletes in 16 sports:clap:

A question, in which events shall our swimmers compete. Srihari Nataraj's preferred events are 100m backstroke and 200m backstroke, while Dhinidhi Desinghu's preferred events are 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle. Can they participate in more than 1 event

Dhinidhi has got the quota based on her 200m Freestyle timings/accumulated score while Srihari has got it on basis of his 100m backstroke as per the universality document uploaded on the world Aquatics website.
I am not sure if they are able to swim in other events also. SFI should have made it clear. Maybe they can as there is no limit on each event but on total number of participants. So maybe both will swim in two events.

So they will participate in 1 event only as wild card entries are permitted just 1 event
