Sathiyan and Sanil Shetty lost in first round itself, does it mean they won't be able to participate in upcoming World Championships?

For singles events, players will be drawn into 16 Groups (A to R) of 5 or 6 players each based on world rankings. Each group winner will earn a quota place for the WTTC Finals in Durban, scheduled to start from May 20.

The runner-ups from each group will also be drawn randomly to play for eight more quota places.

Doubles pairs will be drawn into eight groups (A to H) of up to eight pairs each based on rankings. Each group winner wins a quota to the WTTC Finals.

Additional knockout matches will be played to fill up any remaining quota places.

There should be some quota from world rankings surely. There would be 120 players in Singles can't expect all to be from continental quota. Surely, they would plan for top rated players losing in early rounds of continental tournaments.

    • the junior panam were delayed to August 9-23
    • That’s good news. There’s been no mention of the team in the local papers at all. If they go, I think they’ll be the first Philippine athletes to represent the country in a team event at the World Games.
    • No, Lake Placid won the bid to be the back-up host over St Moritz and Igls. I don’t believe any other track expressed interest.
    • Assuming there’s streaming, I think I’ll be watching the Asian Winter Games and the World Games
    • With the 2024 Bolivarian Games done and dusted, I thought it'd be a good time to look at next year's slate of international multi-sport games.
