FIS is set introduce prize money for winning the qualification.

http://www.fis-ski.com/ski-jumping/news-multimedia/news/article=prize-money-the-qualification.html

It is proposed that the winner of the qualification in the men's World Cup will be awarded a prize money of CHF 3 000,-. For winning the qualification in a Ski Flying event, the prize money will be CHF 5 000,-.

Another rule, which is set to change for the next season, is that an athlete now only needs to have scored at least one Continental Cup point, and not one World Cup point as before, to be allowed to compete in a Ski Flying event

Finally, rule changes that don't seem to be that bad :p

These rule changes seems okay. Though, I dont really understand why they only introduce prize money for winning the qualification in men's world cup and not women's world cup?

Maybe that's for when women's World Cup competitions start bringing in more money :p

No idea, but I mean, this money needs to be paid out of something?

Severin Freund will make his comeback in Ruka/Kuusamo.

That is awesome news! I hope the bad luck finally stays away for a while, like Kenneth Gangnes he has had enough of that for three careers..

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places. Here’s a look at the top countries: Rank Country Total Violations Percentage Region 1 Kenya 119 24.74% Africa 2 India 108 22.45% Asia 3 Russia 73 15.18% Europe 4 China 26 5.40% Asia 5 Turkey 20 4.16% Europe 6 Italy 18 3.74% Europe 7 South Africa 18 3.74% Africa 8 Ukraine 17 3.53% Europe 9 United States 16 3.33% North America 10 Morocco 15 3.12% Africa
