Edit: did they mentioned during the show the supposed appeal by the russian weightlifting federation ?

No, they didn't talk about weightlifting. Showed something like a home story about Bach in Rio and then they just talked about the awkward silence out of Russia. Also Seppelt said that they would probably win at CAS because of Osaka ruling. So he thinks that IOC wants to avoid that embarrassment by paying Russian athletes.

Seppelt's response ;-)

He finally crazy. He's a disgrace to real journalism.  all Russian athletes are now waiting for the CAS decision. For example, Efimova will not participate in the court session, but she is now in Rio. instead, there will be her lawyer. Rowers and weightlifters will have the decision tomorrow. For Morozov and Lobintsev CAS will make a decision after the final verdict is FINA.

It's really strange... Why is he the only one who has "these" information? Why no other journalist?

This video is the result of deliberate provocation by TV channel Rossija1 - just to discredit the person Hajo Seppelt. The Russian admin is pissed that he helped to uncover the fraudulent doping system and send this 'reporter' of its state-run propaganda channel Rossija1. There are several articles about Seppelt's point of view about the interview (however, I only find them in German language, e.g. http://www.sueddeutsche.de/politik/diskussion-um-doping-vorwuerfe-ein-lehrstueck-russischer-propaganda-1.3029260 - this is from one of the most reputable German newspapers, Sueddeutsche Zeitung).

I wonder why you use this video as an argument. Is this video somehow related to the revelations about the doping system? We should not fall for propaganda.

This video is not for the discussion about doping. This video is one of the proofs that Sippelt very strange man (Attacking on the operator, in the chase for a Woman across the city within 30 minutes). I have not said a word about the Russian journalists (In Russia we do not like this channel and the journalist), but Sippelt - this is the same propaganda, just on the other side. As he said the words, which then can not be proved. The situation with his latest tweets - this is another example of this. And so many times already that it is written in my previous post. And I want to show that you also can not blindly believe everything they say such people, because in their words, only 50% of the truth, and sometimes less.

Well, his point of view is that he asked the team to leave his hotel room after they accused him to be bribed for the doping revelations. The team won't leave his room until Seppelt called the police. Also, Seppelt's employer (TV channel WDR) requested Rossija1 not to broadcast the interview. Against all journalistical standards they broadcasted it anyway. So there is nothing like a 'proof' that he is a strange person.

Anyway, it simply does not matter whether he is 'strange' or not. He maybe is, I don't know. Don't you see that this interview was only done to discredit him so that the viewers say 'Oh, this Seppelt is a strange person. So then the whole doping revelations are neither true.' This is what we call propaganda. And what he tweeted tonight - no, there are no proofs for his accusations as far as I know. But, this is not related to his documentation about the state-run doping system. This, however, is proofed and is based on facts.

It’s another sport which has a good chance to continue at Brisbane 2032.   Lacrosse was played in the Olympics in 1904 and 1908. It was a also a demonstration sport in 1928, 1932 and 1948.    AFL Nines / Rugby League Nines Both AFL and Rugby League I believe will really struggle to win a spot at Brisbane 2032.   The days of “demonstration sports” is long gone from the Olympics and I can’t honestly see either making it on to the final Brisbane 2032 program.   Netball Fast5 With both women’s and men’s teams, I think that Netball Fast5 (women’s and men’s) has got a fair chance for inclusion in 2032.   Fast5 women’s world series competitions have been played since 2009 with men’s teams included since 2022.   Australian Men’s Team wins Netball Fast5 World Series and does viral dance   Incidentally, 50 countries currently play the regular Netball format with Australia ranked No. 1 in the world.   Baseball / Softball Both have been in and out of the Olympics over the years so much its hard to keep up.  They were recently dropped for Paris 2024 but included at LA2028.   It’s 50/50 if they will continue to Brisbane 2032.   Surfing and Sport Climbing Surfing and Sport Climbing will soon be formally added to Brisbane 2032 sports program with both having earned permanent sport status from LA2028 onwards.   3x3 Basketball 3x3 Basketball is already part of Brisbane’s sports program in 2032 and will be played at the Southbank Piazza.   Karate Following it’s debut at Tokyo 2020, Karate was dropped for the Paris 2024 and LA2028 and not looking good for Brisbane.   Breaking As we know, Breaking was dropped for LA2028 and I can’t see it being included at Brisbane 2032.   Permanent Status at Olympics   Once a sport is played at three consecutive Olympic Games, it becomes a permanent sport at the Olympic Games.   So from LA2028 onwards, the following sports will be permanent in future Olympic Games:   3x3 Basketball BMX Freestyle Skateboarding Sport Climbing Surfing
    • For that to happen, the IOC would first have to get agreement from international sporting federations, national olympic committtees and IOC members themselves to relax the current July/August Olympics hosting dates requirement and allow the Games to be held in the cooler months.     Many can be expected to oppose such a dates change as it be very disruptive to existing competitions.   When and if that such an IOC hosting rule change happens, it would certainly open the door from hot cpuntries like middle east nations such as  Saudi Arabia, Qatar or United Arab Emirates (Dubai) to host the Games say in cooler November-December.   We know that a Games in the oppressve July/August heat in the middle east would be impossible and deadly for athletes, officials and spectators.   So there’s a lot of hoops to jump through first before such a dates change can occur.  With Games in these New Norm days being awarded around 10 years or so ahead of the Games, that means there’s actually not a lot of time to get this through before 2026 comes around, which is the 10 year mark before a 2036 Summer Olympics.

    • What are your impressions of the Italian team in the first part of the season? What were your expectations?
    • The Italian team is still doing terribly. While there has been stabilization at an average level for women, there has been a dramatic downward slide for men. Today the only skier in the top 30 was Elia Barp - 23rd place. The rest without comment. Pellegrino is already going down due to age. De Fabiani is missing from 2 seasons, Graz isn`t making any progress. The only hope is Barp but he is also very unstable. Compared to the French team, we are 10 years behind I no longer believe that we will ever be reborn in this sport. If starting at home and having a theoretical advantage in materials, we are able to have 1 skier to 30 in the freestyle technique, which has always been better for us, it's hard to even comment on that.
