:FRA vs :GBR and :AUT vs :ITA  are the classic direct "do-or-die" matches for the maintain in the top division, The winners of the matches will save their spot in the world elite also for the next year, the losing teams will be relegated to the Division I Group A World Championship next year.

 

:LAT vs :SWE is the match for the last quarterfinal spot. Latvia must win both their last 2 games in regulation time against Sweden and Norway, meanwhile Sweden will have to lose both it´s last games in Regulation Time to Latvia and Russia.
