LDOG 2,199 Posted December 20, 2017 Author #102 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Olimpia de Oro (Argentine athlete of the Year) Delfina Pignatiello (Natación/Swimming) In a somewhat "inactive" year for argentine sport in general, the 17 year old Junior World Champion of the 800 and 1500m Freestyle receives the biggest individual recognition. Although arguably a bit of a controversial decision to give her the award (too long to explain why), nonetheless she's one of the biggest promises of this country's sport and likely the "face" of upcoming Youth Summer Olympics in Buenos Aires. Also, she's the youngest to receive this award, surpassing pole vaulter German Chiaraviglio who won it in 2006 at age 19. Congratulations! dcro 10,179 Posted March 6, 2018 #106 Share Posted March 6, 2018 Can any of you Argentinians find out what's going on with Maria Florencia Manfredi? She was a regular at the Florida Winter circuit the previous two years, but hasn't showed at all this year. Her latest international was Omaha 2017, in fact, almost a year ago. konig 1 #banbestmen

She says she will participate in south american games and WEG. I don't know what she's doing right now though. She still has WEG qualifying scores from last year so that's no problem, although she will lack international outings going into it. #banbestmen
