  4. So if I understand it correctly, The Arabic language is in basic the same (let say the one used in Quran) it´s the official one, peoples write, read and officially use it, but everyone speak in his own dialect, right (Maghrebin, Egyptian, Middle Orient, etc..) ?
  5. I see. But I meant, the written language, the official one they learn in schools or use at the offices, isn´t the same for all Arabic speaking nations ?
  6. Yeah, we were probably the most luckiest nation in the world that night Our commentator almost finished in the local Chorzow hospital with heart attack Here better quality of the total mayhem after last whistle (the first and last time we qualified for a World Cup)
  7. Wait ! What ? don´t speak the same language like or ?
  8. yeah and this one too Wankelekele ensanzi Africa
  9. Having nothing to do this evening...TISC votes send already yesterday so I´m watching some weird videos and in some nostalgia, I am rewatching the last moments of Czechoslovakian sport. 17th November 1993, Bruxelles Last round of the FIFA 1994 USA World Cup Qualification, Belgium was hosting a team of a already non-existing country a so-called team "Representation of Czechs and Slovaks" this was the name under which this team was allowed to play the 1994 WC qualifier, and if they would have won in Belgium this match they would have qualified to USA 1 and half year after the end of Czechoslovakia lol. This was the official match number 499 of Czechoslovakian Football history. one goal and the history would be rewritten by a team playing the world cup despite the country they represented did not existed. Bratislava May 1992, Ice Hockey World Championships hosted by a country which was existing for the very last year in Czechoslovakia The Most emotional match. Bronze Medal Game. Czechoslovakia - Switzerland 5-2 A last historical joint medal and a lot of tears and sadness... and + a special bonus and one of the unforgettable memorable moments of the last historic mega derby "czechoslovak el classico" Slavia Prague-Sparta Prague in the last historic Czechoslovakia Football league season played under incredible weather conditions, the highlight from 0:47
  10. Haha, I can´t remember any, there obviously some words having different meaning, but nothing outragoeus for example Vedro is in SVK (Bucket) in CZE (Heat) or Topit is in SVK (drown) in CZE (stoke the fire) I know we have such problematic words mainly with other slavic countries with Poland is the most funny word Šukať/Szukat in POL it means (searching) in SVK/CZE it means doing...well,, (Fucking) I remember once when I was young and camping with my dad, we had a family of tourists from in a tent next to us screaming the whole night, Szukaj ! Szukaj ! , I almost was pissing my pants how much I laughed that night, the next morning we learned that they were just looking for some lost watches Also as I wrote it here somewhere a couple of weeks ago in you ask for cold drink "Hladna piča" but don´t say it in CZE/SVK because it means "you hungry cunt"
  11. I was pretty certain it will be the same also for all ex- countries
  12. Thank you guys for all answers ! It´s always great to learn about things from different cultures and habits, I would never have had the chance to learn otherwise

  15. Just was asking myself, There any other different countries that speaks different languages but understand themselves without any problem. Like Czechs and Slovaks, The Czechs speaks Czech and Slovaks Slovak but both understand each other and thus can still discuss in their respective languages ? I mean if there any other countries with different languages having the same thing, like for example - or speaking countries - speaking countries, or how it works in countries like where there many different languages, did peoples understands each other without problems ?

  17. Alžbeta Bačíková (Pavlendová) again with a really nice 8th place in Scratch, Worth to be mentioned, this girl is able to finish around top 10, years after years, quite impressive for a cyclist from a country without any single indoor or outdoor velodrome !
  18. so how many "discriminated" landlocked countries won medals here ?
  19. The best fan He travelled alone more than 6000km to watch his team playing and losing 14-0 And totally alone ! Respect bro !
