  1. Summer now has won more gold medals (4) at world championships than any other Canadian swimmer and she's still 16! Something tells me that number is going to go a lot higher
  2. Gold for McIntosh!!! Not a world record but still a championship record!
  3. lol, Meilutyte almost fell off the podium there
  4. I believe Sjoestroem passes Phelps for most all-time individual medals in world championship history
  5. dang, 0.01 away from her own world record
  6. Hafnaoui, the one guy who can't get Finked on the last 50m
  7. Sam Short trying to go for the Paltrinieri outside lane strategy
  8. Another men's long distance event Let's go Hafnaoui and Wiffen!
  9. That's $60,000 USD for breaking world records for Meilutyte
  10. USA 1 and 2 in the men's 50m backstroke to no one's surprise
  11. Last finals session about to begin
  12. Relay Lineups for Tonight: Men: Japan: Irie -> Watanabe -> Mizunuma -> Matsumoto Germany: Braunschweig -> Matzerath -> Friese -> Salchow Australia: Woodward -> Stubblety-Cook -> Temple -> Chalmers United States: Murphy -> Fink -> Rose -> Alexy France: Ndoye-Brouard -> Marchand -> Grousset -> Salvan China: Xu -> Qin -> Wang -> Pan Canada: Acevedo -> Dergousoff -> Liendo -> Gaziev Great Britain: Morgan -> Wilby -> Peters -> Richards Women: France: Mahieu -> Bonnet -> Wattel -> Nowaczyk Netherlands: Toussaint -> Schouten -> Busch -> Steenbergen Sweden: Coleman -> Sophie Hansson -> Louise Hansson -> Sjoestroem Canada: Masse -> Angus -> MacNeil -> McIntosh United States: Smith -> King -> Walsh -> Douglass Australia: McKeown -> Harkin -> McKeon -> O'Callaghan China: Wan -> Tang -> Zhang -> Cheng Japan: Shirai -> Suzuki -> Soma -> Ikee
  13. Medley Relays for Finals Men: Acevedo -> Dergousoff -> Liendo -> Gaziev No changes as expected. Hoping to see Acevedo get the OQT but I doubt as he wasn't been able to replicate his performances at Canadian trials. The back half of the team is the biggest strength. Women: Masse -> Angus -> MacNeil -> McIntosh So I guess from an upside standpoint, putting McIntosh over an out of shape Ruck and Harvey would be the correct decision. She split 53.33 at the Commonwealth games 15 minutes after doing a 400m freestyle. But her performance on the 4x100m freestyle relay on night one was concerning. Hopefully she just had an off day and she can ride her momentum on what is hopefully a gold medal in the 400 IM.
  14. Swimming at the 2023 European Youth Olympic Festival - Maribor (SLO) July 24th - July 28th 2023 Meet Results No new OQTs were achieved
  15. Day 8 Prelims Summary Women's 400m Individual Medley (advancing to finals): Forrester, McIntosh, Narita, Colbert, Grimes, Franceschi, Walsh, Shanahan Men's 4x100m Medley Relay (advancing to finals): United States, France, Australia, China, Germany, Canada, Japan, Great Britain Women's 4x100m Medley Relay (advancing to finals): Canada, United States, Sweden, Australia, Netherlands, China, France, Japan
  16. I didn't even notice that! But I was referring more to who qualifies and who didn't
  17. Great Britain out in the women's medley relay, no surprises otherwise
  18. also Michelle Coleman swimming backstroke for Sweden. Was hoping that Sjoestroem would swim the butterfly for Sweden and Coleman would do freestyle
  19. split 1:07.49, not bad at all
  20. Siobhan Haughey swimming the breaststroke leg for Hong Kong
