  1. We had 2 people gaining B mark in swimming.... Sandeep clocked a time of 1:02.45s in 100m breaststroke, while Supriya dished out a National record breaking performance of 2:00.54s in 200m butterfly.
  2. Are we going to hit the 100 athlete mark this time. I think we have 94 confirmed till now. I don't think any athletic event would be refused by India.
  3. Welcome @Mahendra to the forum, Hope you would get good experience and give much to the forum.
  4. @gvaisakh Are we going to add the athletes to the qualified list or we will wait till official announcement from BWF on badminton qualification.
  5. @Sanjib this is the maximum we can qualify...If we get these people to qualify it would be a great news for India....
  6. No Indians in the Doha Diamond League....
  7. India would be represented by good amount of athletes for the World Junior Athletics Championships in July.... Few notable athletes qualified are Men 400m - Pankaj Malik(47.10), Chandan Bauri (47.12) - QT (47.70) Long Jump - Yugant Singh (7.56) - QT (7.55) 10,000m W - Sunil 44:11.60 - QT 44:20.0 Women 100m - Dutee Chand (11.33s) - QT 11.80 1500m - Lili Das (4:20.31) ,Harmilan kaur (4:28.05) - QT (4:28.20)
  8. Very good performance in Junior athletics..
  9. Lili Das is a good prospect for future.....Ran a good race in 1500m in Junior and broke the Junior Nr and was close to timing of Jaisha in Fed Cup. Though far away from NR timing of Jaisha...
  10. We are keeping our fingers crossed. At the moment they are not in the qualifying spot.
  11. Welcome @Vivek to the forum, Hope you would get best experience.
  12. We have secured two quota places, one each in men's and women's categories. Now we will be holding trials to select the best two lifters who will represent India at the Rio Games," IWLF vice-president Sahdev Yadav said. Yadav said if Mirabai Chanu can improve her performance by four kilograms in the next three months, she would stand a good chance of a podium finish at the Rio Games. "Mirabai came up with an impressive show at Tashkent and we will ensure that she works harder to improve by another four kgs. If she manages to achieve that, she has a good chance of winning a bronze medal at Olympics," Yadav said. The bronze medallist at 2012 London Olympics in women's 48kg category had a total lift 192kg. After this is there any chance for anyone else in Women's category....
  13. How many sports events are we going to qualify in.....13 was last time is it 13 or upto 15....What do you all guess it would be.
  14. By any chance does Indian women have a chance to get into the quota and get 2 places in women's section because of these allocations....
  15. Agree with Jyothi she ran a good race untill the last 30m..She was running away with the race, But then she faded badly to give the race to Srabani....Hope she gets that stamina to finish the race... Yaa we are expecting many more to hit the mark provided they participate in International events. In India with hardly any competition they cant push themselves to that mark.
  16. Deepika Kumari crowned as the most 'Precise Archer of the World'...... Source
  17. I feel in 50km walk we already have 2 people and to follow those who are quite a bit far is not interesting.. Hope they achieve the mark, but not much interest in that. Durgesh having 0.87s is bit too far to achieve in few months... Jinson and others too I feel not in the range to qualify... But would love them to prove me wrong...
