  1. Luxembourg at least wins the San Marino Award Pretty sure this isn't going to advance, because the song might be nice but the performance just isn't up to the level, but at least great to see a country come back instead of leave
  2. There is definitely too much of a stroboscope effect hype though...
  3. UK shouldn't be a problem, much less visibility than Slovenia and if all the females we have seen throughout the years are ok, UK 2024 very surely is too Finland made a great act by always having a different way to cover the whole thing as part of the act
  4. Slovenia's song reminds me of that neverending GIF of a truck about to hit a concrete post without actually ever hitting it, it feels annoying
  5. 0.5% more visibility and all of Slovenia's performance would be censored in the US
  6. Croatia absolutely rocked it! Getting my phone ready to vote already
  7. Poland's singer apparently performed in the Warsaw opera, but I do assume (and hope) her strength in classical music is better than in pop music?
  8. Ukraine was going quite well, and then came the rapping part
  9. Ah yeah, that Ukrainian yelling of 2021
  10. I don't think they're supposed to show the 2 best results, just two previous performances.
  11. UK singing in the bathroom of the first Saw movie.
  12. Ireland sent everyone on a bizarre LSD trip
  13. As a TISC participants, it's so weird to hear Ireland having only made the final once in ten years
  14. Not saying Lithuania is performing great, but at least it's the first song of today that stands out in some way (fun)
  15. Looks like it will be a Saturday without Serbia.
  16. Cyprus started with a rather basic pop song, performed....well, not so well
  17. Yep, had totally forgotten that....interesting Serbian thing from two years ago How I love Eurovision, there's always something....interesting
  18. Yeah, I think and hope so. And if they take the 1/1000ths into account, they should really stop putting the times on the lists without them. Give us the time that's measured.
  19. Based on what, do you know? I only know this one, where I assume in case of a tie it's simply 'whoever did it first, is on the line above the other': https://worldathletics.org/records/all-time-toplists/relays/4x100-metres-relay/all/men/senior?regionType=world&timing=electronic&page=1&bestResultsOnly=true&firstDay=2022-12-31&lastDay=2024-05-06&maxResultsByCountry=all&eventId=204593&ageCategory=senior
  20. Well, the Dutch 4x400m men missing out on the Olympics (because making it by time is not nearly going to happen) is a bit of a bummer. Same for the 4x100m, really would have wanted to see Martina make his 6th Olympics.
  21. Oh, duh, of course. How on earth did I think it's only 2 per event on day 1 instead of 2 per heat
  22. I'm still confused I assume the rules are the same for all events, so: team X gets a top-2 in one of the Saturday heats, and is qualified for the Olympics, right. But team X does not get a top-2 on Saturday...then what? Repechage, where only the top-2 qualifies? But then how do they get to a total of 14 teams qualified at the World Relays per event
  23. Just throwing something wild out there, but this could be solved by....you know....eliminating the mixed relay. *commence running away from World Athletics
  24. This whole thing is just so weird. Teams that can field an excellent men's or women's 4x400m and an excellent mixed 4x400m, but don't have the depth for extra runners, are just fucked by a gazillion 4x400m races being pushed into a few hours on two days.
