  1. Awesome, Operation Water Bottle in the Neutral Zone went rather well
  2. How many participants do we have and how many of them picked Geraint Thomas to win and/or finish on the podium? Purely out of curiousity now that he's out of contention
  3. I guess it's not much of a surprise anymore, but DNS for Thomas today.
  4. It's raceweek The classic mass starts on Saturday will be on a new track layout at the local park in São Carlos (Damha). The sprints and the freestyle interval races will be at the same tracks as the past four times these distances have been held there, which makes for interesting stuff in terms of comparing times - unless it's going to rain, which is a fairly real possibility.
  5. Meh, when it's not Biathlon auf Schalke it's a lot less interesting. I mean, biathlon in Ruhpolding, that's...you know, normal
  6. Possibly. Hopefully in the Vuelta it'll finish a bit later, usually tons of people tune in (at least here) for the last part of the stage after work (considering most people, of course not all, are finished by then), but that's a bit difficult now Luckily there's such a thing as working at home and starting a bit earlier to be able to stop earlier and watch anyway
  7. @phelps @Gianlu33 Do Italians not work or something? What's up with these finishing times being before 17:00 for literally every stage and today even around 16:00?
  8. Dutch doctor: "One of the side effects of dexamethasone is strengthening/heightening of your emotions." Quite clearly, the dude is high as a kite
  9. APELDOORN - It has taken the host delegation a while to come up with a suitable song. It had to be a few years old, which makes it a lot easier to find something that represents the Netherlands and it's musical tradition well. After all, there's not that much of an own tradition nowadays, with most quality songs being not very distinct - they could basically be from anywhere on earth. We're going for a little throwback, to halfway in the 90's that is. Tamagotchis for the fancy kids, Discmans because of course a portable music player is freaking awesome, and the absolute king of the playground, the yo-yo. As for music, the mid-part of the decade was the era of the gabber scene, roughly coinciding with happy hardcore. As the name suggests, it's a sort of hardcore music, and it's happy. A whole ton of singles were released in the Netherlands and the Dutch TOISC 2020 delegation has had a hard time choosing, with two main candidates. With an eye on current world themes and to showcase absolutely everyone being welcome in Apeldoorn 2020, Paul Elstak has been chosen as the Dutch representative, with Rainbow in the Sky, let's get those virtual feet off the virtual ground!
  10. The thing is I can imagine users who aren't online for a bit - but are interested in joining - would see a PM reminder (if they get emails for that) and think "Oh yeah, I'll register). I know it happens to me when I'm not really looking on Totallympics for a while Not planning on begging anyone

  12. For anyone wondering: yes, accomodations will be taken care off. The organization is in negotiations with a few facilities, but delegations will have a suitable place to stay. Most likely everyone will be spread around in towns in the the area, roughly within 30km from Apeldoorn, obviously with free transfers to and from the host city and other interesting areas
  13. I can hardly imagine no Brazilian will enter Are they all busy or what? Tomorrow I'll try to make a list of users to tag/message. Sadly there's not really a way to just sort all active users by country or something
  14. I know I am impartial, but I don't want to have other people think that might be unfair or something
  15. 2000CHF fine for Rohan Dennis because he didn't have his rainbow stripes on yesterday. Ugh, UCI why are you so tiring?
  16. 3rd place for Yakob Debesay in Il Piccolo Lombardia https://www.procyclingstats.com/race/piccolo-giro-di-lombardia/2020/result
  17. Imagine Devenyns seeing this. Someone so devoted to Alaphilippe he specifically requested not to be in the world championships team because he didn't want to be in a situation where he'd have to chase him, today once again he pulled himself inside out for dozens of kilometers....and then this One of my all-time favorite moments in cycling.
  18. I am laughing my balls off, what a moron, Titiphilippe
  19. Wow, Vlasov Down goes everyone's easy youth rider classification pick
  20. Kipchoge is going to lose, making this marathon interesting all of a sudden
  21. Why is it so hard for major marathons to have a somewhat decent start list (the document, I mean) available? London is tomorrow morning and still all I can find are news articles, nothing official where there's a simple list with runners, which is what I want when watching.
  22. Even Ramon Carretero didn't manage to get an OTL in the first stage, and I can't really remember anyone worse than Ramon Carretero in recent years. Bardiani has fallen back from a pretty fun attacking team to just being two levels below the World Tour, but still, Covili's results suggest he's at least better than what he did today. Maybe a fall or some other kind of issue?
