  13. in the canditature file you can find a first draft schedule... but of course it's very different from what will be the final version, since all the new sports are not even included... however, if something is gonna be released, it will surely be posted on this page (the candidature files are also here): https://tokyo2020.org/en/games/plan/ p.s. I think that before the end of this year a newer draft version (a lot closer to the final one) will be released...
  14. not a very good start for Italy... Di Veroli this time couldn't repeat himself after the double (Junior & Cadet) title won 3 weeks ago at the Europeans...he just came up short in the overtime against the French guy he beat in the previous event... but the really disappointing results came from the other guys and especially from the girls, who stopped their favourable streak after a few years of medals in this discipline...

  17. I guess that if they don't get kicked out this time after all the troubles with former president from Taipei and the Uzbek mafia man who actually controlled all the AIBA operations, they won't get kicked out anymore for the rest of the Olympic history... I don't know what else can they do to make it worse than now...
  18. yeah, but don't forget that most of the strongest European weightlifters weren't there... some of them because they come from suspended Countries and some others because they just didn't consider this tournament worth their presence... overall, the results obtained by most of the participants were very, very modest (even if they granted those athletes decent final placings at the end of the day)...
  19. well, we can say the same for all of Tischchenko's matches in Rio...he was literally driven to the Gold without deserving to win any single match he did fight... the truth is that in the last 2 Olympics we've seen some of the most shameful episodes of the history of the Games in the Boxing tournaments... after Beijing 2008 (and Milan 2009 Worlds, the last reasonably fair event) AIBA just fell down in a hole of "adjusted fights" and corruption that was rarely seen before (as I wrote, only in Seoul 1988 I saw even worse decisions)...
  20. great day for Hungary and very disappointing outcome for Italy (especially after the round of 16, when 4 of our guys made it through to the quarters, but they got no medal in the end)... overall, very poor finals...both of them being one-sided and without any pathos...

  22. Women's Individual Sabre (Seoul, KOR) Final Results: Gold: Olga Kharlan (UKR) Silver: Anna Marton (HUN) Bronze: Bianca Pascu (ROU) & Anna Limbach (GER) Semifinals: Kharlan b. Pascu 15-14 Marton b. Limbach 15-8 Gold Medal Match: Kharlan b. Marton 15-7 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2018/468/results/rank
  23. of course the biggest cheating happened in that final bout against Cammarelle (ITA), but the whole tournament was gifted to him by the corrupted judges (a few of them were even caught with their hands on the marmelade...ops...with money they shouldn't have on their accounts, I mean)... in round 1, he met Erislandy Savon (CUB) and it was a robbery, then he had a controversial win against the Chinese Zhang...after that, he robbed Ivan Dychko (KAZ) in the semifinal bout and finally there was that Gold medal bout, which is in my opinion second only to Roy Jones Jr.'s scandal in Seoul 1988... p.s. all those matches are still available on youtube...everybody can watch them...
  24. wow! 4 Italians (3 men and 1 woman) in the quarterfinals of the Sabre Grand Prix in Seoul (KOR) and not one of them who could go a step further... by the way, the semifinals are as follows: women: Olga Kharlan (UKR) vs Bianca Pascu (ROU) Anna Limbach (GER) vs Anna Marton (HUN) men: Kamil Ibragimov (RUS) vs Aron Szilagyi (HUN) Eli Dershwitz (USA) vs Kim Jung Hwan (KOR) semifinals and finals can be watched live in less than 20 minutes from now here:
