  1. and Ludwig is behind the Austrian... 3 left...
  2. wow! Egger had a great final stint in run #2... Can Austria put some winning cards on the table once again?
  3. Repilov losing time vs Eissler despite being quicker at the last curve...that's not promising at all (= Loch's gonna do it once again)...
  4. and Navarria is out, too... 2 competitions, no Italians in the top 8... shame! shame! shame! on them...
  5. D-Fisch lost almost 2/10 in the final 3 curves from Kindl...no way he can climb up the standings with such a performance... being out of the Olympic medals for 1/1000 of a second was so painful, but being so far away from the podium like today...well, it really sucks!
  6. so, Iran, Egypt and Japan (twice each) plus France and Ukraine (once each) won the last Bronze Medal matches of this morning... now (2.30 p.m. CET) it's time for the "big ones"...
  7. Women's Team Foil (St.Maur, FRA) Final Results Gold: France Silver: Russia Bronze: Italy Semifinals: France b. USA 45-44 Russia b. Italy 45-38 Bronze Medal Match: Italy b. USA 45-37 Gold Medal Match: France b. Russia 41-39 Here is the Full Final Ranking (and Results) from Today's competition: http://fie.org/competitions/2019/824/results/rank
  8. great, great win for our Foil guys against the almost unbeatable US dream team... on the other side, our girls lost once again vs the Russians and will only fight for 3rd place in St.Maur (FRA and RUS will play for Gold)...
  9. naaa...in epee it's not that rare... however, not a good day for Italy once again... only Navarria is still in contention (but they are only at the round of 16)...all the guys are out before the quarterfinals (and Di Veroli didn't even make it through to the main draw of 64)...
  10. game over for anybody with a start number over 7/8...as expected... it's gonna be an "interesting" 2nd run, I guess...
  11. @MHSN it looks that Zabiollah Poorshab has broken many hearts in Italy...our commentator is saying that many girls lost their minds when they saw him last week in training here in Italy...and the commentator herself has said he's one of her favourites (she said he's a beautiful man, too)...
  12. and Germany's Johanna Kneer wins the second Bronze Medal match in the women's -68kg...
  13. by the way, arriba Mexico! @mrv86 Sachiko Paulina Ramos Akita won the Bronze Medal in the women's -68kg...
  14. our usual stream...PMG Sport page on Youtube should work as for the World Champs (probably only with VPN once again)... p.s. don't get too mad when you watch Rozita Alipour's bout...
  15. oh, and finally K-Fisch gives Italy some hopes...
  16. and D-Fisch dead last so far... surprise, surprise with this kind of weather...
  17. it's gonna be one of those so fair races... really the best place to have the world champs...
  18. Norwegian or Swedish TV, I guess (if you have a good VPN -Hola doesn't work with them- you can easily watch them in streaming)...... maybe some Russian Match!TV channel...
  19. so far, we have ITA & JPN winning Bronze in the Women's Individual Kata; BRA & GER in the Women's Individual kumite, -50kg; ITA & JPN in the women's -55kg; double Japanese Bronze in the men's Individual Kata; KAZ & RUS in the men's Individual Kumite, -60kg; double Bronze for Kazakhstan in the men's -67kg and finally TUR won the first Bronze Medal match in the women's -61kg (with a very, very controversial decision, imho)... 2 or 3 good matches (above all, the ITA vs KAZ Bronze Medal contest in the men's -67kg, which ended up with a 8-8 tie and KAZ won by Senshu) and the rest...well, let's say it was not so good... p.s. FRA won the second Bronze Medal match in the women's -61kg...
  20. Day #3 (Final) Recap On the last day of the Tel Aviv Grand Prix, it was France to get the most of the honors, with 2 Gold Medals (Axel Clerget in the men's -90kg and Alexandre Iddir in the men's -100kg)... meanwhile the Host Nation consolidated themselves on top of the final medal table with Or Sasson's triumph in the men's Super-Heavyweights (+100kg)... on the women's side, the last 2 Gold Medals went to Klara Apotekar in the -78kg class and Iryna Kindzerska in the +78kg respectively... and this means that Israel topped the medal standings with 4 Gold Medals, followed by Italy and France with 2 Gold Medals each. The remaining 6 Gold Medals were shared between Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Kosovo, Slovenia and Sweden. Full Results here: https://live.ijf.org/gp_isr2019/results

  23. awful day #2 for Italy..not a single athlete made it to tomorrow's finals... and more in general, the new Kata scoring system in the men's division is definitely going to keep all the non-Japanese men (apart from Quintero Capdevila) out of the final round more often than not...before you could always hope for a reasonably favourable draw, now you always have to cope with at least 4 or 5 of them if you want to make it through to the Sunday's sessions...
