  1. Really impressed by Vladimir Dubov, not a single point against him in all 4 matches, overall score 42:0 Maybe the competition wasn't as strong, but if he repeats such a form in Rio i think we can get a medal.
  2. Yes, a little correction, we have 5 wrestlers now in Serbia in GR and 4 are in Mongolia. And both teams are divided by some strong wrestlers and some newcomers. Now in Serbia we have Kostadinov (59), Stas (66), Iliyan Georgiev (75), Nikolay Bayrqkov (85) and Lyubomir Dimitrov (130) While in Mongolia we have send Angelov (59), Nikolay Vicev (66), Hristo Marinov (85) and Miloslav Metodiev (130) For me Angelov and Marinov are better in 59 and 85 and i think Stas and Dimitrov are better in 66 and 130, so like i said both teams have some strong contenders and some who are with smaller chances. Maybe our federation wants to give a chance to more wrestlers to see how will they perform before the final qualifying tournament if we haven't got the quotas. Plus i just found out that our medalist from the European Games last year Daniel Aleksandrov is injured, so maybe that is the reason he isn't in Mongolia. He will compete in 75 in the final tournament.
  3. Ivo Angelov is in Mongolia. Our GR team was divided into 2 groups of 4 for both competitions and the team for Mongolia is already there, as to cope with the time difference.
  4. 2 out of 6 for today is less than i would have wanted to be honest. Stas and Duduva were never favourites, so their loses aren't unexpected, but i was really disappointed in Novachkov. After last years Worlds and the way he was blatanly robbed of a medal i was sure he would be one of our qualifiers. Let's hope he brings his A-game for next week. And finally Kostadinov did awesome, but unfortunately he had to face the only russian today, who was a machine....
  5. And of course when they schedule 2 bulgarian matches on mat C it goes off... As if they intentionally are blocking me from watching them.
  6. Yeah, just like all mats were working, then mat A went black and now mat B for some time. Only mat C is going for me, and all bulgarian matches are on the other two.
  7. At least there is streaming unlike boxing. https://unitedworldwrestling.org/event/european-og-qualifying-tournament
  8. Awful today. Of course with two matches against the turks, two loses, big surprise. In the third the armenian got knocked-down by Simeon Chamov but they still awarded him the victory.....
  9. Well here the rights for the Olympics have always been shared between our national broadcaster (BNT) and a private tv network. And for a long time that was Eurosport and it was a perfect combination. BNT aired mainly our athletes and of course many different things when possible and Eurosport covered the big events and their tradional sports. And here almost everyone has a cable package that has Eurosport, so even being paid wasn't a problem for watching the Olympics. But for Sochi and now Rio the private rights went to another provider and to watch the Olympics you had to switch your whole package to them and not only that but subscribe to their highest package, because thats where the sports channels were placed. So more or less you are left with the national broadcaster and just like in Slovakia, watching it there is a little torture. So i'm very happy that the rights go back to Eurosport (Discovery) and i fully expect them to sell a part (the umpopular sports with our athletes ) to BNT and things to go like before.
  10. Boyanka Kostova decimating the competition even with an easy going, but sadly it is for the wrong country once again, but whatever...
  11. Schedule for tomorrow! http://www.bgboxing.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/samsun/C58D0412.pdf
  12. Great day for us, 4 wins and only 1 loss. Especially happy for Petar Belberovs win in the super-heavyweights against the russian boxer, because i was almost sure of judges shenanigans.
  13. It's unbelievable how this sport after so many scandals, banns, sanctions, no funding, public and media bashing, athleates jumping ships to other countries, and amateurish federation, we can send some team and still get medals.
  14. No surprise. There is always a degree of problems with the judges sports, because in the end it is always a personal opinion. We have seen it a million times and not only in boxing, but in a variety of sports. But boxing seems the cream of the crop for some time now. For me they always want to "award" many countries and overscore some athlete from a country X and then underscore another one, because that country already had success in another categorie...
  15. The thing with the australians is that they have their nationals so far from the Olympics, that when august comes it pegs the question will they be in peak form? Because the US will surely be.
  16. Christina Iovu representing a third country.
  17. Oh wow, that's the biggest shock so far. Did not see that comming.
  18. Good victory for Simeon Chamov to start the tournament. I think our team is in good form and i hope we can get 5 quotas.
