seriously?! how about almas uteshov or Zhassulan Kydyrbayev or aliaksandr venskel? we had a total mess in 94 kg men's competition! none of them didn't suspended?! and the saddest and craziest part is about lovchev case. after all this coming and going, they removed his record. still nothing! is this delay because of waiting for the CAS decisions?!

Volleyball Qualification for Summer Olympic Games 2016
amiry2j replied to LDOG's topic in Volleyball
still suck. these teams should improve themselves in the world league not during the olympic. fair qualification is sth like handball qualification, really nothing is wrong with that qualification if it's up to me. i get rid of fivb world cup as soon as possible but i knew they want to hold tournament more and more. so based on the situation it's fair we have this format. 1- fivb world championship gold medalist should directly qualify to the olympic (1 quota) 2- fivb world cup gold medalist also qualify to the olympic and fivb world cup format should change to round-robin and elimination stage consisting of 12 teams. 2nd fivb world championships medalist and 1st and 2nd of each confederation championships not top ranked team+host (1 quota) 3-top teams from each separate confederation qualification should directly qualify to the oylmpic (5 quota) and 2nd and 3rd qualify for world olympic qualification 4- in world olympic qualification we should have 2nd-3rd-4th-5th-6th-7th(both)-9th(both) which means 9 teams from world championships + 2nd and 3rd continental qualification which mean 10 teams and another one could be wild card or best teams which has under 30 ranking still don't qualify for WOQT so we have 20 team in world olympic qualification with 4 groups each group has five team , it could 16 teams with 4 group and each group has four team (4 quota) 5- host -
Two Kazakh London 2012 weightlifting champions reportedly fail drugs tests after samples re-tested The National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan have confirmed that five athletes from the Central Asian nation are among those to have failed re-tests. No names have been given, but it has been reported that two-time Olympic under 94 kilograms champion Ilya Ilyin and women's under 53 kilograms London gold medal winner Zulfiya Chinshanlo are among the group. Ilyin, the world and Olympic record holder in both the clean and jerk and overall categories, is a four-time world weightlifter of the year who also claimed global titles in 2005, 2006, 2011 and 2014. He is also a two-time Asian Games champion who is considered one of the greatest Kazakh sportspeople of all-time. T he failure has been reported by Italian website Il Tempio dello Sport and Polish website Polska Sztanga and has also been referred to extensively in the Kazakh press. Chinshanlo, the women's under 53kg champion in London, has also won three world titles in 2009, 2011 and 2014 and was reported as having failed by the China Post. The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) neither confirmed nor denied the reports when contacted by insidethegames. If both ultimately are stripped of gold, Russia's Aleksandr Ivanov and Taiwan's Hsu Shu-ching could stand to be promoted to the top position. IWF President Tamas Ajan indicated during a visit to Iran last month that four London 2012 and one Beijing 2008 gold medal winners were implicated. Kazakhstan also claimed two other London 2012 titles: for Maiya Maneza in the women's under 63kg category and for under 75kg lifter Svetlana Podobedova. There have been no reports of either having been linked to failures, however. Eight Russian have also failed after London 2012 retests, with three names have been reported. Hammer throw gold medallist Tatyana Beloborodova and shot put silver medallist Yevgeniya Kolodko were named by Russia's public sports channel Match TV on Tuesday (May 31). Russian cyclist Etakerina Gnidenko has been confirmed as having failed by the International Cycling Union (UCI). Turkey's Adem Kılıççı has also been provisionally suspended by the International Boxing Association (AIBA) after a retrospective failure source: inside the games ps: holy crap ilyan may be on the list

Four Universality Places for Wrestling Awarded by IOC The Olympic Games Tripartite Commission of the IOC this week announced the appointment of four Universality Places for athletes competing in wrestling events at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The selection includes wrestlers from Cambodia, Haiti, Honduras and Palau. “Wrestling is a worldwide sport and these athletes will make the most of their opportunity in Rio,” said United World Wrestling president Nenad Lalovic. “The Universality program gives Olympic opportunity, and hope, to nations who otherwise may not have it.” The commission awards 110 places in 16 individual sports, which are then made available for allocation to all eligible National Olympic Committees Asnage CASTELLY (HAI) will enter the 74kg in men’s freestyle along with Skilang Florian TEMENGIL (PLW) at 125kg. In women’s wrestling Sotheara CHOV (CAM) and Brenda Yamlyeth BAILEY GOMEZ (HON) will both be entered at 48kg. The four Tripartite spots are a supplement to the 114 Greco-Roman, 108 women’s wrestling and 114 men’s freestyle positions earned during qualification. Four additional spots, typically reserved for the host country, will be determined by the Tripartite Commission and have yet to be decided. source men's freestyle 74 kg Asnage CASTELLY (HAI) 125 kg Florian TEMENGIL (PLW) women's freestyle 48 kg Sotheara CHOV (CAM) Brenda Yamlyeth BAILEY GOMEZ (HON) -
i don't think zeidvand became international wrestler yet, and for the start, olympic games would be too much for him. wrestlers in greco should prove themselves in non-hosting situations (like what reza atri did in freestyle) cause in so many matches the place of the wrestlers get caution may be switch and that would effect the result. i think he's still local wrestler but i hope he'll get better in next few years

Wrestling to Add World Championship for Non-Olympic Weights United World Wrestling has announced the addition of a 2016 World Championship for non-Olympic weight categories in women's wrestling, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. The event, scheduled for December 10-11 in Budapest, will be hosted by the Hungarian Wrestling Federation. World championships in all 24 style and weight categories are held in non-Olympic years. The addition of an Olympic year world championship for weight classes not included at the Olympic Games will give participants of that weight an end-of-the-year title opportunity. "We are pleased that the Hungarian Wrestling Federation has taken on the responsibility of this important championship," said United World Wrestling president Nenad Lalovic. "This tournament will give more wrestlers the chance to seek a world title, even in an Olympic year. Our athletes work hard year round for their sport and we are pleased to give them an opportunity for more medals." The world championships will be competed in women's wrestling (55kg, 60kg), freestyle (61kg, 70kg) and Greco-Roman (71kg, 80kg). source

UWW confirmed Adjustments to Olympic Qualifiers Announced (Doping issues) United World Wrestling has redistributed Olympic qualifications for freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s wrestling. The changes come in response to recent doping violations for small concentrations of Meldonium at the European Olympic Qualification Tournament in Serbia and the Asian Olympic Qualification Tournament in Kazakhstan. According to UWW’s Anti-Doping Rules and the last instruction issued by WADA, the competitive results of the athletes sanctioned for doping violations will be wiped from their respective tournaments. Per the rules of the international federation, Olympic licenses will be redistributed based on the following circumstances: Men's Freestyle 65 kg Due to doping violations at the European Olympic Games Qualifier Magomedmurad GADZHIEV (POL) and Andriy KVYATKOVSKYY (UKR) have had their results at 65kg wiped and associated Olympic licenses revoked. The licenses were transferred to Georgia (via Zurabi IAKOBISHVILI) and Armenia (via Devid SAFARYAN). Following this adjustment, Bulgaria (via Boris NOVACHKOV) earns the Olympic license won by Georgia at the 1st World OG Qualifier in Mongolia. As Bulgaria takes their license from the 1st World OG Qualifier, their first-place finish at the 2nd World OG Qualifier will be transferred to the United States who finished in third place (via Frank MOLINARO). The qualified countries at 65kg (for Zrenjanin, Ulaanbaatar and Istanbul) are then: Georgia (GEO), Armenia (ARM), Bahrain (BRN), Turkey (TUR), Bulgaria (BUL), Canada (CAN) and The United States of America (USA). Men's Freestyle 125kg At 125kg, Allen ZASIEIEV (UKR) and Yusup JALILAU (BLR) also had their results wiped and Olympic licenses revoked for positive doping results at the European OG Qualifier. Their licenses were transferred to Bulgaria (via Lyuben ILIEV) and Hungary (via Daniel LIGETI). Hungary placed at the 1st World OG Qualifier, and Bulgaria’s qualifying spot would have been the replacement but (as stated above) was earned in Serbia, giving the spot to Kyrgyzstan (via Aiaal LAZAREV). The qualified countries at 125kg (for Zrenjanin, Ulaanbaatar and Istanbul) are then: Bulgaria (BUL), Hungary (HUN), China (CHN), Poland (POL), Kyrgyzstan (KGZ), Ukraine (UKR) and Belarus (BLR). Greco-Roman 85kg In Greco-Roman a positive doping result for Zhanarbek KENZHEEV (KGZ) at the Asian Olympic Qualifier shifted an 85kg Olympic license from Kyrgyzstan to India (via Ravinder KHATRI). Women's Freestyle 53 kg In women’s wrestling a positive doping result for Sumiya ERDENECHIMEG (MGL) at the Asian Olympic Qualifier shifted a 53kg Olympic license from Mongolia to India (via Kumari BABITA). Women's Freestyle 53 kg At 58kg a positive doping result for Oksana HERHEL (UKR) shifted the Ukrainian Olympic license to Moldova (via Mariana CHERDIVARA ESANU). here is updated list of all Olympic qualification spots source -

Volleyball Qualification for Summer Olympic Games 2016
amiry2j replied to LDOG's topic in Volleyball
hi to everyone in totallympics and i should thank sindo for the new forum, it's cool anyway about Russia's situation. two point of view should be discussed, first since markin's test positive in OQT , FIVB should make decision whether disqualify all of the team or not in this scenario i don't think they want to disqualified Olympic gold medalists for one positive sample. but on the larger scale in point of view 2, sth like systematic doping issue seems to happened and maybe that would make IOC sensitive about russian doping cases and take serious action about this. besides we should consider some kind of semi-political sportive challenge between superpowers like Russia and USA (started from FIFA WC hosting) could effect on the situation.
