One of my friends cancelled his plans so I have spare tickets for majority of the events here. Let me know if any of you are interested in any of the events, would be giving them out at their face value 2. I might not be interested to watch a few of the events I have bought tickets for if Indian athletes do not reach the medal matches and would be willing to trade tickets for events where I might catch interest during the games. We can use this forum to exchange tickets according to our interests 3. We all could in general hang out and meet regularly during the period of the games!
  3. Anirban Lahiri at tied 21st at the Open Championship. Splendid performance
  4. rather, I have already started researching for locations Anyone in Mumbai interested to watch the games together, do ping me back
  5. Have they earmarked locations? If they plan to do this, they should have already started publicising it widely. Can't depend on our ministry. We must plan a contingency if we want to do it. Am ready to take the initiative in Mumbai
  6. It is live on DD Sports. Can't watch on TV? I remember last olympics a few of us had found a few streams of DD sports. Should be available on the net.
  7. Are you going for the games as well? @kapil857 is also going to be there. Let's cheer for Indian athletes together!
  8. I'll be there from the 12th to the 21st, will update my schedule today!
  9. You may see India win it's first medal at the games!!
  10. Paes and Bopanna will be playing together in the Davis Cup doubles rubber this weekend against South Korea. Some much needed practice playing together
  11. You could plan something in Hyderabad! If there are 10-15 people, it would be worth the effort!
  12. Thanks Vaibhav for the suggestion. I had talked with Zouk regarding the euros but they ask for a minimum guarantee of 50 people which seems difficult to manage. I know of a private terrace in Versova but that may turn out to be expensive as well Have put in a word though
  13. Guys, I've been thinking that it would be a lot of fun if we could watch the Olympics together, at least people living in the same cities. What do you guys think? I'm a resident of Mumbai, @People in Mumbai: do you know of any place where there is a projector-screen arrangement which we could rent out for the duration of the Olympics?
  14. Brilliant work by our athletes. Optimistic as always that we could fetch a medal in athletics
  15. Leander Paes lost in men's doubles second round at Wimbledon.
  16. Well deserved reputation with crisp information reasoning your choices. I was wanting to blog about India's chances of medals at the Olympics. Would surely want to use all the info and opinions on this forum
  17. A post in the weightlifting thread: That means no additional weightlifting quota for us.
  18. Get that count rolling bros! Woohoo! Great day so far
  19. Devendro's bout is tomorrow. boxers can achieve a maximum of 3 quotas today.
  20. Inshallah!
  21. yup, but each judge's individual scores count. All three gave him the win at 29-28. So 3-0
  22. Woohoo! Cmon Manoj!
  23. All 3 judges give him the first round!
  24. Yup, the Baku internet syndrome
