  1. Yes, I understand. As a biathlete, I consider the shooting part the greatest one in the races. But the Super Sprint shows who can really be the fastest/better in both shooting and skiing and for me that's what "Sprint" really means. 7.5km can't be called Sprint ? that is killing.
  2. I know some other athletes (IBU Cup level) that like the Super Sprint. Honestly, I see no reason why not, that's a real Sprint and everything happens so fast. The penalty loop is short, so in case everything goes wrong at the shooting range, ski fast and you still can get something. Apart from that, the spare munition is a plus to make it exciting ?
  3. There are also the Sprint (14) and Mass Start 60 (15) races in Ridnaun. But particularly I find the Super Sprint most exciting ? Anyway, it seems like now it's gonna be possible to watch all races from there. So, see you in at least in two of them ?
  4. https://focusbiathlon.com/news/item/201-ibu-cup-will-get-livestream.html Super Sprint in Ridnaun is gonna be extra interesting ? I confess, now I am a little nervous.
  5. Actually, I have no part in it ? but when we were listening to the playlist of the chosen songs, I said I liked the Dutch one (I knew it from my childhood) and only then I got to know it was the Dutch one and chosen by him ? *Before @heywoodu gets addicted to the Croatian one, we were just listening to his personal playlist in the car and so far I liked every song... Not a bad taste at all ?
  6. ??? Probably... At least it is still in my mind ? We found out that you are not addicted just to sports anymore
  7. By the way, CBDN talks about a possible name for Biathlon. I have a suspicious it can be "Thiago Silva" (Duda's boyfriend), but I am not sure about his age ? If it's him, that would be really cool... A brazilian couple at the YOG, extra motivation to enjoy the event! ?
  8. ?? Yes, sure she will. Also Duda! I am sure they y send any information we ask them ?
  9. See? Sick. ? @Olympian1010 that's cool! Particularly, I like classic more than skating. But mostly because I have strong arms and that helps on double polling ? I got a speed skate from @heywoodu's sister and sometimes I take it for some technical training (for cross country), usually when I am coaching my athletes. Training with speed skating is fun, but at least in my opinion it's harder than actually skiing ? And now, it's really a big pleasure talking to you, but I need to sleep ? There was too much noise outside so it was impossible, but now it sounds like the dogs are starting to calm down ?
  10. You sleeping in the afternoon??? Dr. Olympian is right, you are sick ?
  11. Hard question ? but I would choose Rollerski because this is where I perform better ?? Biathlon is fun because of the shooting, but can also be very frustrating and... Caring a 4kg rifle during all race is extra painful ? Cross Country is cool for it's shorter and you don't depend on anything else than skiing at your best (well, good equipments count A LOT. But now I mean just about performance). Rollerski can be really painful if you fall (I tried it way too many times ?) but once you stop falling, that's a lot fun (and easier to do the technique than on skis) ?
  12. ? Thank you! I will do my best to deserve it! I have to be realistic and say - I am not the best yet. Of course I want to be and I am working for that, but I actually can say that I am the best when I beat Jaque in some race. FIS points don't mean anything, races do. Honestly, I am nervous, but I will take my opportunity if it ever comes. Meanwhile, I am happy if I keep on being an example for the other girls here in Brazil. I am not "the Olympian" but they don't care ? the way they look at me makes me want to be a good example for them. They are always coming to me to ask for some tips for their races, asking me to skiing/rollerskiing together so we can talk... If any of them ever beat me in a race, I want to be the one to give her medal at the podium ceremony because they say "I want to be like you" (they are cute!) no Tonga!!! Still many years to spend together ( @heywoodu ?) Thank you very much, that's kind! ??
  13. I heard something about the nation needing to work together (all athletes) to get a quote instead of each athlete trying for themselves. Also, not all races will count anymore, just some specific ones (which includes WC and both senior and under23 WCh). But, nothing confirmed yet so I still can't make my plans.
  14. According to my federation, no changes of criterias are expected from IBU for 2022 yet. Only from FIS. I really hope FIS doesn't make it as hard as IBU does.
  15. It's so painful to be an old lady But Iam happy to know my results were enough to earn quotes. It's just a shame we can't use them. That's a fair system. At least more athletes will have an opportunity. It's a shame the same doesn't work for the Olympics. Thanks for the explanation! ☺️
  16. Yep ? which probably will happen if he doesn't have DNS of DNF in São Carlos (as I said, probably his last FIS races before the deadline)
  17. I don't know exactly how it works (I am mostly waiting for the new rules from FIS for the Olympics ?). So, what happen with the "non-used" quotes? Are they giving to other athletes by a ranking or just like with IBU in the Olympics they are wasted?
  18. Which they don't (at least not yet) ? They wanted Rhaick to go for biathlon, this way they could send one more guy (someone else for cross country). But he didn't accept. I am not sure if he "fits" by his age, but that's what they were talking about.
  19. Unfortunately we don't have anyone to send for Biathlon. So, for now we have Taynara and Eduarda + (they are hoping for a second spot) Manex and Rhaick for cross country. Manex is doing great, but Rhaick has a quite good support to get this ticket. We still have the races in São Carlos (which for the men's FIS points) is a lot helpful. His biggest chances are there. After that, I can't think of any other race where he can get good FIS points. No, I am just a travel buddy ? Gabi wanted to serve as a coach/mentor (for free) during the FIS camp and the YOG as part of the payment for her debit from last season. But a person in the federation didn't allow her because "he will be the one". It's mostly a logistical problem. The federation wants to keep the rifles under the Biathlon coach's name, there in Europe. Then it's much cheaper (because keeping a rifle here cost a lot and also we have to pay for every time we travel with it. Another reason for keeping them there is (I don't know what kind of agreement they have) because the Biathlon coach takes our rifles for the trainings of the athletes of the club in Livigno and the training camps of the Australian (in Australia). This was also the reason why an important part of my rifle (a small one) got lost and it made my rifle work even worse than it was already working. Buying my own rifle could be an option. But that's really expensive and there is no place to train here in my city or in the cities around. That's an investment for the future, not for now. I love biathlon, but for now my focus (and investment, if the support from the federation is not enough) is mostly on cross country because that is my biggest chance to qualify for the next Olympics.
  20. ? Thank YOU for cheering! That's ok, they can be first ? And yes, the NF is really busy and I heard all "projects" for the season need to be sent to our NOC not later than on next Tuesday (so the NF can get the requested support ?). I tried to get a permission to go earlier to Europe (as soon as the last race in São Carlos finishes). Of course I would have to pay for the extra days in Europe (from 19/11 to 02/12) but as long as it would give me the opportunity to train shooting for a bit longer, I was willing to. They said it's not possible because Taynara is qualified for the YOG and as she is still a teenager she needs someone to travel with her (guess who? ) She can travel on 1st December (probably because school), this is why I am going on that date. Eduarda is qualified too, but I don't know when she is going to Europe. Manex and Rhaick are the names for the boys tickets (if there are 2). If there is only one, Manex has the best points for now, but decisions still will be made.
